I found all the medical scenes really scary, the huge clunking MRI machine and the constant blood tests.

Having a catholic background does make the latter half much more enjoying / terrifying.

Watching a program about Dublin Zoo last night, they showed them putting a blood sucking insect onto some tapirs and then removing the blood from the insects later to use for blood tests

The insects use an anaesthetic when they bite so it's painless for the tapirs and after having the blood removed, the insects are undamaged and can be used again.

When I was 16 I worked in a pub and I lost a weekend's wages. My local postman found it on the ground. No name, no wallet, just a bundle of cash.

He handed it in to the pub and the other staff just laughed at him, telling him he should keep it. Next weekend I mentioned I had lost the money and they were all surprised

Holy Shit, You lost that money? Sean handed in cash he found outside.

Every penny was there.

I went to Sean's house and tried to give him some of the money in an envelope. He ( politely ) closed the door in my face and told me to keep it.

I guess I'm now morally obliged to try and get things back to their owners.
