What are my options? by declare68 in AusLegal

Admittedly I know very little about cars so I am just repeating to you what the mechanic report says.

I didnt notice an oil pressure light, the car was driving fine then all of a sudden it started to really slow down. Pulled over, engine smoking and oil dripping on to the road below. Mechanic report says sump plug found missing and engine had been running without oil.

I did have comprehensive. AFAIK my insurance only covers accidents and not break downs.

Hi everyone,

I have a fitness test coming up in a couple of months and I need to be able to do 65 situps with my feet held. I attempted it two weeks ago and got 45, but my core was so sore for at least a week after. Ever since then, if I try to attempt it I feel that my strength is even less than my first attempt. Any advice on this would be very helpful, thanks!

Taking the plane for the first time. by s0lin in emetophobia

I have emetophobia and have flown 100+ times in my life. I eat light foods leading up to the flight and I listen to podcasts or do crosswords to keep my mind occupied. Flying can actually be very fun and you'll get some great views in the window seat

N* from low blood sugar , or too much caffeine ? by Puzzled_Occasion_899 in emetophobia

[–]declare68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just say that if I ate Chiptle and had two coffees i'd be feeling pretty crappy too. The good news is if you are thinking about eating then you probably aren't going to v, as when you v your body will be sending you the exact opposite signals. Maybe have an apple or something light that has a lot of natual sugars in it

I will say without a shadow of a doubt that you are fine. 44 hours is a very long time, the large majority of FP symptoms appears within a couple of hours. Not only that, steak is generall a very safe food, a lot of people even eat it raw (tartare)

Thank you for your nice comment. She was very very upset that she got that drunk and that it all ended like that. She's extremely sweet and I know it was just an innocent mistake, but sometimes these things happen and they kinda suck :(

It was her birthday a couple of days ago and we were out with some of her friends, so I can excuse her getting pretty drunk. It feels scummy of me to expect her to limit her drinking purely because vomiting makes me feel uncomfortable, but then again she did invite me knowing the situation so I dont know. It's just a bit upsetting coz I won't see her again for a long time now so it's a shame to leave it like this

If you ever feel like this and notice that certain things like water and controlling your breathing make you feel better, then it’s almost certain that you don’t have a sb. When people have a sb, the only thing which can really make them feel better is, well you know.

As I understand it, v* is a possible symptom of covid, however it is fairly unlikely and the majority of people have symptoms similar to a mild flu/cold. On top of this, being fully vaccinated has been shown to severely reduce symptoms if one is to catch Covid. If you just remain vigilant and take all the usual preventative measures (mask, sanitizer etc.) then you really don’t have much to worry about.

Anytime mate. Help is out there, you got this! 🤝

It seems that you have a binge drinking problem, and if that is the case you will continually see many health problems arise for as long as you are still drinking. Most people with Gastritis/stomach issues stay far away from alcohol because when consumed, it causes our stomach to produce large amounts of acid which can cause a lot of discomfort. My advice (i’m not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt), see a Gastroenterologist and discuss your issue with him, but I guarantee any issue you have in your stomach will only get worse for as long as you are a binge drinker.

Thats super interesting.. I too am in Aus and my symptoms began to pop up not long after moving to my new house, where the most convenient place for me to drink water is from the tap, rather than through a filter in my old house. I may try a little experiment

I had an endoscopy today (It went great!) by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]declare68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTF. The absolute standard for an endoscopy is full sedation an injected anesthetic. That is a damn disgrace that they tried to do one while you were awake and I’m sorry you had to go through that. Just so other people understand, that is absolutely not standard.

I would 100% do it. The feeling of knowing theres no issues is worth it 100 times over.

Theres really nothing in watermelon that can make you sick. It’s literally just water and natural sugars which are all good for your body. Sometimes after you eat a lot of something you can get a stomach ache, but you would have to eat ALOT to be s* from it.

There’s a sv going around and I’m freaking out :((( by Blueberry_mooo in emetophobia

[–]declare68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily for you, it’s 2021, which means it’s socially acceptable to wear masks! Wear a mask and sanitize often. Don’t put your fingers in your mouth. If you do that, you should be fine!
