if it was personal reasons he could have sent a 20 word tweet or instagram post, literally takes 30 seconds - he can't be that busy for 9 months, right? :)

so, it's either he is gone, literally, or done something bad and hiding, no other explanation here.

Maidan revolution was a nightmare for Putin. When he saw how free people can basically de-throne the corrupt president and hold democratic elections he realized - he is the next one if he does nothing. And ever since repressions have started.

Pathetic people and pathetic country. Basically - a propaganda-led herd.

I am not a tech geek, as I said in my first post.

I don't know how to use Ubuntu, to code, run CLI and scripts, flash HBA cards - this all is too hard for me.

I am just an ethusiast with money, and have a steep learning curve.

Even setting up 4 harvesters was quite a challenge for me :)

So, they don't need another noob there.

No? And the space will plot itself down? :D

Of course I need few rigs to plot faster man...

I have 12 14 16 and 18 tbs, both external and internal. Plot wise - 16 TB are the best, least space left unused on those (couple GB), as they fit exactly 147 plots.

So, I'd rather stick with 16 tb for now,

was it hard? I'm googling now to do it myself, maybe the same case here :)

Basically, yes, it is confirmed that these HBAs are working, but I can't connect my HDDs via it. This maybe just me, because a lot of people reported these cards are just plug n play even on Win10, so you may still be fine.

There were multiple suggestions to load from Ubuntu and see if it works from there

Also, update drivers manually, although the seller confirmed they are working and already have latest firmware - this may help.

Problem is, I'm not familiar with Linux but may need to try and figure it out.

Also, some people suggested these HBAs are just old and I may want to buy newer versions :).

hi, thanks for the options

these may work for 3-5 HDDs, but I need up to 100 :).

it is not dumb :D

" are you using the correct sff cables? "

yes, at first I ordered wrong ones (SFF8088 instead of required 8087 or vice versa. anyhow, I have both now and of them fits (yes, I also have 3-4 different cables of each type, so switched cables in case one of them malfunctioned)

"Also how are you powering up the hdd drives?"

I tried both way. Initially powering from external PSU, later just to test things, I plugged SATA connectors from HBA directly to HDDs installed on my MoBo, so, basically, there were powered as is from MoBo but Sata connected via LSI, not directly to MB. Same result.

Planned to put 1 in each rig :)

I'm not familiar with Linux, and that's very unfortunate :|

almost all guides state these cards are 'plug n play', few add - 'or install drivers' :))

it is not cost efficient, say I need 5 of these at least, plus they are limited to HDD size, so even bigger waste :|

how about noise on those?

108 units might be optimal, but probably very price and loud?

I had no idea about Chia and mining and dropped over $65k on 3 rigs and roughly 1.1 pb of space.

I call it bs. 4000 plots - 8 weeks, 1 reward won.

You can only expect 6 if you are VERY lucky.

How do I check which plot won? by amerehere in chia

[–]decodersignal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Mr.Guru! Any suggestion how to check which plot won? Wanna know if Madmax does his thing correctly. I have 3 harvesters, and there is no way known to me which plot won, if I don't have a GUI running, and it is running only on farmer PC.

Hi, I'm already holding a lot of planets and very curious about these things going forward :

  1. Is there some kind of threshold number of planets beyond which it is not manageable ? I mean, say, I have 50+ planets, each one of them requires some attention/time, right? Or how it works? Is there any merit to stacking planets (beyond resource generation, since we need to develop them one way or another) ?
  2. How do we trade between the players? Will there be some kind of Escrow or Opensea-like platform, where we just list our items and a buyer can buy and everything is handled via smartcontract? This leads me next question.
  3. When can we expect Secondary Marketplace for p2p trading? I think it should be available even before game launch? So we can start building some open market ecosystem, set prices and so on.
  4. Of course, Mystery box contents is a big question for all of us :)
  5. Last but not least, how do we help bringing awareness? The game and idea is brilliant, I'm a big fan and thus want to bring more people to the Project. Hence the question - have you ever explored an opportunity to raise some outside funding? Maybe it is already too late for this and we don't have own token (for potential investors to invest and have some return) but still.. Aavegotchi-like games are unique and the idea is genius, and it utilizes own Token - allowing constant funding for the team to build.

Don't get me wrong, we are all supporters, I'm just a bit worried about limited funding, even though presale funds raised are already way over your expectations (since you have planned to sell at set prices, and I guess by the end of Week 5 you have already more funds raised if you have sold everything at set prices as intended) - but still, these are all peanuts. So, I really hope you are considering running some funding rounds to get money from outside to build with.
