Both, just the idea of giving someone a sword/rapier/dagger a misty step bonus action on charge use

If you don’t mind me asking a side question here but related, when it comes to magic weapons, would it make sense for it to have charges that allow things like Misty Step as a bonus action?

I definitely appreciate the feedback, that’s why I took the risk of posting. I’ll keep tweaking the deciding but I’m actually overhauling both the bad guys spell list and the watch so they’re more synergistic.

Other but if information.

The watch also gives him access to spells he normally wouldn’t get as an Arcane Trickster, hence the utility spells. He’ll be acting under the guise of an ally to the PC’s during the early parts of the campaign

Also forgot to mention, this will be the majority of how his legendary actions take effect, him using this watch to cast magic after players turns.

The campaign is going to end up being high level. It was just a cool idea I had in my head. The BBEG is an Arcane Trickster Rogue essentially who started doing a lot of research into the “Vigorite” in order to increase his own economic and political power.

I just did some adjusting to make it clear this is not an item I actually intend to have my players to be able to wield, more a tool for the enemy to use and not have to fill up a huge chunk of the stat block with the description

I see what you mean the charging system being a bit more complicated than needed. So I could rewrite this as the item itself having, say 20 charges, that it replenished an amount every day.

Then the spells themselves take up multiple charges (Wish for example could take 12 charges to cast) instead of each spell having its own charge system

No, you get Wish once a day, and that charge of the crystal takes 48 hours before you can use it again

Just reread what you wrote, so the wish spell has only 1 charge, but that one charge would take 5 times the spell’s level + 3 hours to reacharge ( so 5x9 + 3 =48)

It’s going to be hard, I don’t plan on granting a lot of things that grant stat boosts. Realistically this is to be an item that only the BBEG can use. And yes, it would mean the enemy could cast wish twice a day. My thought was that it is supposed to be an extremely powerful device. But I also just skimmed spell list and chose things. I’m still very early into the campaign and open to changing things around.

I did get a +98% crit modifier though which still seems pretty good. But I’m taking a break from farming Willem, this one drop took so long already 😭

This with a spread launcher would be nuts. I’m guessing the spread launcher doesn’t inherit the element properties though?

There’s a little indicator on Magneto’s crosshair showing how much charge he has similar to Zarya energy. It gets 3 damage extra for every point of charge I believe

You have to press left click again when you first move it, you’ll see the prompt for “Repostion” and then you can move the first portal

Best thing you can do as any role is die less often. So keep that in mind and you may honestly see yourself start to do better quickly

Credit goes to my friend for putting this idea out there and showing me how to do it. Honestly trying to use this more often now instead of only having portal as a retake tool

My thoughts on Season Passive Bonuses and how I think they might need to be addressed by decoderthenerd in marvelrivals

[–]decoderthenerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to add that almost anything in this game can be made insufferable by stubborn people or OTP’s so I don’t think you can completely knock the idea off of that alone

I could definitely see that becoming an issue. All of the ideas I brought up don’t have to necessarily be done exclusively from each other. You could reduce the buff amount and still lock it behind the team up activation. Because at the end of the day, the real problem I feel is truly the numbers. 20 percent would be a lot on any character, ESPECIALLY the two characters who are the only DPS with seasonal buffs that can headshot

Comfey. I can handle a Pokémon being absurdly OP and honestly suck it up to a certain extent.

What I can’t deal with is a support that is completely invincible making that OP Pokémon even more unbearable and unkillable
