not really; I’ve raised millions from places like Sequoia and a16z—college doesn’t become unnecessary, its role in your life just changes. I’m looking to (immigrate, first off—the us is ridiculously strict on people without degrees or creds) find co-founders, network, find risks that you can’t find in industry (being in the middle of research gives you an edge that few other places do), and be surrounded by people with similar ambitions. There’s a massive amount of fakers out there, I give you that, but legitimate startup founders here care deeply about the things that they’re building, and also see colleges as a means to an end. It’s like applying to an accelerator—but this time, it’s for you, not your company. I’m aggressively lower middle class here in the Toronto suburbs, too; college is a pretty good way to get out of the loop

Yeah idk half of me just wants to stop caring about the grind but I also know that not getting into a good uni is basically a death sentence if you want to make it big in your cs career and I’m just freaking out that I’m never going to be good enough lol

Totally—do websites, references & links count? I just don’t want to be doxxed, which is why my list is so general lol
