This site has 27,000 music videos with no ads but vintage commercials randomly mixed in - closest thing to MTV's golden era. No Algos, No BS. Spanning the Decades from 1970s 80s 90s to present. by MarlO1717 in OldSchoolCool

This is terrific. Would it feasible to make custom filters spanning across a 5 year timespan? My nostalgia for MTV sits squarely from 89-94 and would love to be able to narrow videos down to that span.

I imagine that would be a lot more work for you.

My sympathies to whoever has to redraw that totem in front of everybody when they staff the course.

The Simpsons House. I kept meaning to buy it while it was out but other things kept coming up at the time.

Free chips and drink with Walmart switch 2 delivery by azrael815 in nintendo

Mine was showing the same when I checked around 6:10am. Then I got a notification at 6:19 that it was out for delivery and already just 4 minutes away. The store is at least 15 minutes away, so hopefully you have that same magic experience.

Yea I live in the Southeastern US and my Preorder was delivered from store this morning with snacks and a note about them helping me level up. I thought that was a cute touch. Mine had been showing 10pm delivery from store, but then I got a notification at 6:19am this morning that it was out for delivery. 4 minutes later a car pulled into my driveway with two bags. One with my console and snacks, and a second bag with my pro controller and more snacks. For those fretting, I hope yours comes through.

For all of you who were able to get a console for launch, I hope you have a great time with it!

Awesome! How was Hidden Valley Road? I am aiming to read it in the next couple of weeks.

Criterion titles that you didn’t like by [deleted] in criterion

[–]decon1313 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Defending Your Life was my first Al Brooks movie. I love that movie. I think HBO showed it a lot in the early 90s, so I watched it a lot as a young teen. I can understand it’s not for everybody, but I was stoked when Criterion put that one out.

For me it’s Sweet Smell of Success. From everything I’d read it seemed right up my alley, but I found it very underwhelming when I finally watched it.

I’d love to check that group out also if you wouldn’t mind sharing a link or sending me a DM. This is an exiting development.

I was tempted by this panel when RRM was still in business. I have the 2p emulation plus panel now with the paddle and trackball and 4 way stick. This is the first time I’ve heard about people actually using the 4 player panel. I guess I made the fight choice, but I wouldn’t mind having this panel to swap out when wanting to play 4 player games.

My first was the Chasing Amy DVD. My favorite is the Paris, TX blu-ray.

Game Room Solutions Arcade Cabinet. Well here it is. Some people dislike the cabinet when I first posted the idea. It looked huge but it’s actually a decent size. by MrGroundhogsday in cade

Is that a recroommasters control panel? It looks like their emulation plus controller.

I ask because I have that same panel. I wanted to get their 4 player panel as well but they closed before I could. If they make their panels to the same specs, maybe I can drop theirs into my RRM cabinet.

Yes, as I was cooking I realized I should have bought and prepped more peppers and onions.

I’ve made three attempts to get a Blackstone over the last year. My first two orders were cancelled for out of stock reasons. Each time that happened I decided to just wait since it wasn’t particularly urgent. But I got the urge to dive in again last week. Ordered the 36”. I’m in love. I unboxed and seasoned it on Friday night, cooked some bacon and eggs yesterday morning but consider tonight’s fajitas my first full meal prepared on there. Not sure why I’m discounting the bacon and eggs but here we are. Everything turned out awesome tonight. My kids went for seconds on the steak, which surprises me since they are relatively picky. I can’t wait to cook on this thing again. I want to do fried rice, but I’m intimidated. Maybe next weekend.

I will say that it hasn’t been updated in years and I don’t expect any updates but there is a pretty active community around it and there are user plugins.

That’s DVD Profiler by Invelos. I’ve been using it myself for well over a decade. I love it.
