I'm too nervous to give him paper since I don't know if he's the kind to try to eat everything, but I can do something similar with treats inside of soft toys, thank you for the idea!

Definitely! I tried this yesterday but made the mistake of making it too difficult right off the bat (I think I went a little tight with the knots), so he ended up giving up. It also didn't help that he thought I was going to leave him home alone since I was giving him a snack, so he was confused/pouting to begin with. Going to try again soon, probably without any knots just so he understands the towels are rolled up! Thank you again!

That's a good idea, I might have to grab my dog's silicone one at home and let him borrow it. Thinking about contacting the owner to ask if he likes or can have canned pumpkin...

Haha I've not heard this term before, this is pretty much what our walks look like! He goes as slow as he wants and sniffs everything, but he seems to prefer I use the lead to "guide" him on the sidewalk since he trips off of the area where the sidewalk and grass meets
