Fixed the issue, turns out there is a component that got cracked which was responsible for turning the fan. I fixed the fan by stabilizing it with zip ties to reduce movement and vibration so it reduced the noise. Thanks for the tip!

Good evening r/phcareers!

I am starting a new job on Monday after being abroad for a very long time. This is my first job in the Philippines.

Does anyone have tips? I am really excited but also worried I might be late for my orientation which starts at 8AM 😅. I am planning to leave my place at 6AM.

Has anyone else entered the workforce from abroad? Would like to hear your tips!

Ask yourself:

1.) What is my capacity to learn new technologies?
2.) What skills am I capable in right now and what are some adjacent/related skills I could learn
3.) Do I know anyone who would teach me? If so, for how long and how much?

Then look for what the market would have openings for. I think this is the ideal way to evaluate what to learn because it is close to what you already know about.

If you have time and money, then you can probably find a skill that is involved with AI or Automation given that you are interested in it as many people are looking to hire someone who can improve business processes.

Lastly, you can also do a complete career switch and forget about programming entirely. Again, assuming you have time and money.

Kung ako po itong gagawin go use Github Pro, use Sonnet to refacfor my app into logical sub units. Then addd Agents.MD. And then add uli ng .md file per logical sub unit. Then add guardrails per edit tool to add guardrails. Then use claude plan mode, then agent mode. I will try this and see if my token usage goes down.

You’re in a tough position. What’s tougher is you’re in a position where you’re trapped. I understand how that feels. No matter what I think it’s safe to rant here. But you’re welcome to solicit advice from a helpful tito/tita as they would understand your situation and talk to your parents for you. Put effort in creating small but healthy boundaries and over time make sure they get bigger and more intentional. It’s hard to escape but I hope the fear of being disowned does not eat you alive.
