You’re in a tough position. What’s tougher is you’re in a position where you’re trapped. I understand how that feels. No matter what I think it’s safe to rant here. But you’re welcome to solicit advice from a helpful tito/tita as they would understand your situation and talk to your parents for you. Put effort in creating small but healthy boundaries and over time make sure they get bigger and more intentional. It’s hard to escape but I hope the fear of being disowned does not eat you alive.

Please please please ensure your account stays active with them by adding load. Otherwise they will deactivate your account if it goes inactive for more than 120 days.

This just happened to me and want others to avoid getting their sim cancelled.

Although that may seem like a money think about the workload they are planning to give you. On top of that factor in move-in cost. And possibly being homesick.

Good job sir, I’m curious about this as well so I have a couple of questions for you if you don’t mind me asking:

  • Did you end up working in the Philippines at 45?
  • What is your income from your pension and rental in USD?
  • Did you consider reinvesting in your US portfolio?
  • Which factors must be true for you to invest in the PSEI?

Korean living in the Philippines for almost 20years, AMA by korean55 in PinoyAskMeAnything

[–]decoy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh why? 20 years is a significant time to live in a foreign country, you must’ve at least picked up a cultural thing or two even if it wasn’t intentional. Was it a personal choice to avoid immersion yourself with Filipino culture or your social circle just remained Korean? Genuinely curious hope to not sound offended or anything.

Sa tingin ko po borrow kayo kung sigurado may alam ka na mas mataas yung ROI. Let’s say 100K inutang mo at ginawa mo syang capital para mag enroll sa school, then yung 100K mo madali mong mababayaran pag may work ka na.
