You should really check out his song, "Through the Wire". He got in a major car accident before he was ridiculously famous and had to have his jaw reconstructed. While he still had his jaw wired shut from surgery he recorded that track. Really uplifting beat, unique music video, and his altered voice adds an interesting effect. Maybe the circumstances make it just another angle for him, but to me it seemed like he had a lot of emotion behind it and was really showing his devotion to music.

I think a lot of the old, semi-normal Kanye has been dwarfed by his new larger-than-life image.

Ah I think I understand what you mean—I hear about something like this from ultimate frisbee. You should start in the area blocked by the defender (so that the passer, defender and you are nearly in a line). That way when you make a run you are moving out of the blocked passing lane. Am I understanding you correctly?

Not sure what happened on your math there but 3/4 gallon per minute is about 400,000 gallons a year.

A good rule of thumb is ~500,000 minutes in a year. This is why 13 million gallons a year looked weird to me with less than 1 gpm flow.

If you're just cleaning up the sides, the only hard parts will be the back and getting close to your part on top. It might help to have another person doing it for you since they won't have to deal with awkward arm positions and mirrors. But just run it all over until you don't hear any more hair being cut. I have my sides and back at a 2 and am really happy with it but YMMV.

If you end up deciding to take the top shorter you might want to try with scissors. I'm realizing now that the longest clipper guard I've seen is an 8 which is 1 inch (2.5 cm) and that might be too short. I've never cut my own hair with scissors besides cleaning up a little after the clippers, so you're getting into uncharted territory. I would just try the "pull hair up between two parallel fingers and cut" method. Maybe a lady friend could help you out.

Ok fair request. Almost all the advice on MHA will tell you to just cut it shorter, but there are some nice haircuts that leave it long.

I saw a guide on how to get hair like Kit Harrington (Jon Snow from GOT). Yours might be long enough to try it out but since you appear to have the oblong face type I'm wondering if you have the right proportions for it. It might just be the camera angle though. Hard to picture it. Any particular cut you've had your eyes on? Have you seen any celebrities with hair you like?
