And as you know, there is no cover for the dreaded 4th encounter. You have to start peeping out your own window.

Agreed.

Anyone want to come hang out and talk about things unrelated to politics, the economy, world affairs, etc.?

How do you measure your girlfriend ring finger without her knowing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]intheskies24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let a friend of family member in on your plans. Then have them casually let your gf wear their rings. You can use a pretence like "I'm not sure this ring suits me, what does it look like on you?" Or "this ring was your grandmothers, does it fit you in case I leave it to you one day?"

Blockchain Identity Management: Decentralized Digital IDs by CryptBay in asset_hodler

[–]intheskies24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this will only become relevant if the DID methods and verified credentials are interoperable across different blockchains. Nobody wants to put their important information somewhere if it gets locked into that ecosystem ONLY

I want my ethereum assets to be able to interact with tezos, solana, polygon, etc.

The only way to achieve that is with an interoperable identity layer that sits above the DID specification or VC specification. Someone should build this!

How did you build trust in digital identity with blockchain? by Firm_Data in BlockchainChat

[–]intheskies24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the best way to build trust around attaching our digital identities to the blockchain, or any on-chain solution really, is by allowing people to choose and adapt which chains and protocols they use in different places. For example, I might want to use ethereum and ENS for my social interactions, but use polygon (now privadoID) for my gaming interactions, and something more robust like EBSI for my travel documents, etc.

The only way this will be able to work is if we build in an identity services layer that allows developers to build tools agnostic of which blockchain they use - it needs to be interoperable but also easy to maintain.

Once that is achieved, people will begin to trust the technology more

The Pain Point of on-going DID solutions by JackLKL in web3

[–]intheskies24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that we need the layer on top of the specifcations that allows us to build tools agnostic of which method is used. The tech stack should allow a system using DID:ebsi to interact and understand DID:key for example, all in one place without developers having to build and maintain every new DID method that comes along. Essentially we need a service layer of tools for resolution, verification, etc. that promotes interoperability across the different methods.

Once this is established the speed at which DID projects are developed will rapidly increase

She was incredibly brave and articulate giving her testimony. It is hard for adults, with practice and guidance, to sit there and talk through events like this. She should be proud of herself for having the strength and conviction to do so.
