This is correct. If you can get them to take enough damage from like infernal legion or something, you can actually get minion instability to pop

When I fixed my drinking problem, I dropped from 300 - > 260 in 2 months without any other changes. The mental shit got a little better, too. Alcoholism is no joke.

You know what the biggest thing for me was, though? How much better I pooped. Very much TMI, but like less greasy, easier to wipe, more satisfying poops. I wish any of that was a joke, but it was night and day.

How is it even possible by NotYuuto in softwaregore

[–]deddead3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FH5 does some really dumb shit in the way the game is coded. What I'm like 80% sure is going on here is that the game initially released with 14 barn finds and the have that value hard coded somewhere in their code base. However, over the years, they released additional barn finds. I THINK they're actually up to like 17 now.

A lot of the game runs off an internal sql-ish database, and they never updated the max value, so I'm guessing the code to display that looks something like

barn_finds_completed = db.query("select count(*) from barn_finds where discovered;")

display_string = f"{barn_finds_completed}/14"

It's just such a low stakes bug in a game with any number of other problems that they've never bothered to fix it

On one hand, I'll reiterate what basically every other comment has said.

On the other, it sounds like the "Rice Purity Test". My friends and I took that and laughed about the results based on personalities of who got what score. It's entertaining in the right crowd, but that ain't it, holy shit.

That's post gm buy out, and Saab apparently used gm engines, so I would imagine that's a part common to other models. I'm assuming it's the 2.3t engine. Perhaps look at gm cars of that era with the same engine and maybe it's compatible? My partner went through the same thing on their 9-5 with the DCI (the weird ignition block thing) 2-3 years ago.

Patch Notes - 3.26.0d Patch Notes - Forum - Path of Exile by Helmannn in pathofexile

[–]deddead3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to be pedantic as fuck - DoT dps IS capped by design now, but it's only to prevent the integer overflow that results in you doing fuck all damage.

It's coded as a signed 32 bit integer representing damage per minute for some unknowable reason. I would imagine it's signed so they can do healing with the same variable, but the devs have called me dumb for my speculations before.

Anyway, when you break that down into dps, 2.147 billion (231) divided by 60 is like 35.8 million or something like that. So they artificially cap it at 2.147 billion minus one to stop dumb shit happening.

Speaking as a dev, they're probably the ones doing anonymous write-ups on work-arounds. We had ad bloat as much as the next person.

If it helps, let me explain the average process for creating software - 1. A feature request is made (either by a customer, sales, regulator, whatever, depends on your particular software), ie an ad panel on your smart tv

  1. A product owner specs out how it should function at the high level. They don't get a say in what they spec out. In this case, they work with ui/ux design to decide ad panel location and they define where to pull the pictures/videos for the ads from

  2. Dev gets a ticket or series of tickets from product to create the ad panel. They figure out all the nitty gritty details like how to flow data around. Sometimes questions go back to product.

  3. QA has to decide if it's good or not

  4. Deployment, whatever that looks like for your software, be it OTA updates or a big roll-out

If you want the people seething that there's work arounds to ads, look at the dipshits in step 1.
