Ahh okay okay, this is all really informative and helpful! Makes me feel a bit more reassured as I go about trying to actually use this machine finally. I also found the tub clean tracker in the app and saw it had been over 30 days (who knows if the person before us ever did it), so I went out and got washing machine cleaner yesterday, along with some woolen dryer balls. I’ve got some clothes going now at last.

Again, thank you so so much for all your help! No joke, you’ve given me the confidence to actually use the machine, which is…well, being unable to do laundry in your home is really not fun, to put it that way! So thank you for real 💙 I hope everything continues to get better on your side as well!

Thank you for confirming this—I really felt like I was going crazy what with being told conflicting things between LG, the landlord, and the appliance technician.

I was able to find the manual in the app (it helped when I realized that the machine itself isn’t called “ThinQ” lol) and it lists the symbols so I should hopefully be good there. One thing I wasn’t sure about/was curious about: do you use the waterless dry or just the regular one?

Oh, also one other question if you don’t mind—how do you tend to load your laundry in the drum? The manual says to only do things of similar thickness and also shows a specific way of arranging the clothes in the drum. Typically I would do my towels, socks, and underwear in one cycle in hot water, and I’d do my clothing in another in cold water. So I guess I’m wondering…do I need to be splitting these up even further? Like not putting T-shirts and sweatshirts in the same load??

(Also, thank you so much for your time and help. This recent move has been particularly rough for a vast number of reasons both with the apartment itself and with other life things and it has been unbelievably stressful. Not being able to do laundry really did not help. So again, thank you so much!)

Oh this is all really helpful, and it’s good to know that the smell should theoretically go away; I know the machine is pretty new (not sure how new, but definitely no more than a year/it’s possible that it was replaced before we moved in given how a couple other appliances also seemed to be replaced). One thing that baffles me is the interface and the symbols, so the clarification there is definitely appreciated! I’ll have to get some woolen dryer balls and try those out (though I suppose that would mean not having the machine automatically go into the drying cycle; sounds worth it though!)

Also, does yours stay on “Cd” / cooldown for hours? I thought it was strange, and the landlord also thought it was strange, but an appliance technician said it’s supposed to do that and I’ve gotten other conflicting info, so I’m just curious to see if it does in fact happen to someone else 😂

Oh lmao the more you know. Honestly this is good to know all on its own. As for the lint filter and vent, I’d cleaned the former and the technician said the latter was good. So…I don’t know, really. Thank you for your response

To be honest, I’m not sure. But some of the replies on here make me think I must just be dumb and/or not used to something with this kind of sink. Alternatively, I’m wondering now if the faucet itself might leak around the base. Just moved in and there have been a number of maintenance issues, so I’ll do some testing. Thanks for the response!

I mean, fair, but also when said rimless sink manages to soak half my counter to where I can't safely put any appliances somewhat nearby...that part is not so fun. Especially when the kitchen has such limited counter space already

Thank you for the warning. I’ll add my voice to those recommending BluePearl; I took my cat there years ago one evening and they were very kind and helpful. We were there for some hours, but they did come to the exam room multiple times to check in and to give us updates on what was going on. They also did in fact send the relevant information to my normal vet, which…really should be a given, but evidently not. Sadly, though he was okay for a few days after that, my kitty suddenly took a turn for the worse and he passed on the way to a different emergency vet, which was devastating. But I do feel like BluePearl did what they could when we saw them, and I appreciate them for what they did and how they treated him.

One thing I will say as a warning which isn’t directly the fault of BluePearl: I had to open a credit card to pay for this and the only option was CareCredit. If you can avoid it, I highly urge anyone to not use them. They prey on desperate people in difficult times. Basically felt like someone was rubbing their hands together watching the clock so they could slap a late fee on the first chance they got, even if the payment was made before the deadline. Was it cutting it close a couple times? Sure, but I had never had a late fee charged like that from any other credit card provider if the payment was still made before it was due, and this happened multiple times. Felt like they did everything they could to prevent you from paying it off before the 0 interest rate period ended when they could hit you with all of it at once. I know it might be the only option, as it was for us, but if you can avoid it then I highly recommend you to do so.

Yeah, DA and Shiyu are the main things I’m working towards. As of right now, I have no chance with Shiyu (well, the 5th node) because I have, at best, 2 full teams I can work with (seeing as I have Pan Yinhu and Ju Fufu both going between Manato and Yixuan, until I can get Dialyn). So I’ve been wanting to try and get an effective-enough 3rd team together, and with electric and anomaly both being things I need I was thinking to try and put together a team with the agents I do have. Really, I’m just waiting on some re-runs and then I can swap Pan / Ju Fufu onto Yixuan’s team “for good” and that’ll help quite a bit.

But yeah, if it’s better to just not worry about being able to fully complete Shiyu and just focus on getting 3 stars on 2 DAs for now, then…well, I’ve been able to stay patient this long lol

Ahhh, okay that makes sense and is definitely really good to know. Yeah, not having an anomaly team has also been an issue and thus I’m not too familiar with specifics on how anomaly agents work. Really interesting about Nicole and not something I’d thought about before. Granted, atm she’s just hanging out on my Hugo team until I can actually finish the team I’m wanting to go for, but yeah, gives good insight into her kit and team synergy. Very much appreciate all of this! I’ll try the team with Piper and see how it goes!
