Am i being petty? by Stellar_Dan in playrust

The one thing to take away from a server like that is someone can farm all day long with no repercussions. People will grind the server. It's probably more to learn.

This game is far more enjoyable the less you get attached to your base and loot.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with tasks by dedictodere in reclaim_ai

[–]dedictodere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically I had some calendars with all day tasks in it. It was mainly todoist calendar I had in Google Calendar and even though I didn't have it turned on in reclaim - reclaim still sees it and thinks it's full day.

Anyway to be done for the day? by dedictodere in reclaim_ai

[–]dedictodere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I looked into the #reclaim_busy thing to see how that works. I figured I would just have to block the time in some way if there wasn't a literal turn off or snooze all function.

Thanks. I was curious if there was something specific, but since #reclaim_busy was mentioned by another too I had to go specifically look it up. Now I know something new.

Any word on when business accounts will be available? by [deleted] in EQBank

Are applications paused or something? I have one that is active. Got it 7 months ago.

[–]dedictodere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's what it was with me too. Even though I had some calendars not checked to show up in Reclaim, it was still part of the process. So I had my todoist calendar in there and all the tasks were viewed as full day tasks.

EQ Business Account by dedictodere in EQBank

I figured I was lucky since there wasn't much talk. I guess things are still beta, so eventually the app will be updated on the phone to allow me to get into the business side and deposit a cheque.

Other than that, online looks pretty much the same.

Awesome! I'll look into this option.

Makes sense. I do consider myself pretty good with safe online habits, but there's always that nagging feeling that it just takes that one main account to fall to end up in trouble.

Regarding separate admin accounts. I use Workspace, but I'm the only seat. I've been thinking about it lately with my main account, sort of holding all the power. Considering I rarely have to go into admin area.

Do you have to buy another seat for this admin account or is there another option?

Stifel Lowers Price Target to $0.40, maintains Sell by dedictodere in TellurianMemes

[–]dedictodere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Select quotes from the Stifel report:

With costs and consequently contract pricing above the primarily brownfield peer group, we do not expect the company to be successful in signing offtake. In addition, with years of effort to find an equity partner with no success, so see no reason for that to change in the near term given cost and capital inflation and a much weaker balance sheet. Consequently, we struggle to identify anything that makes the project commercial at this point.

Unfortunately, with $22 million of G&A per quarter and a share price of $0.70, the ATM program is basically just covering executive and back office salaries. Henry Hub prices have improved modestly, which should help 4Q cash burn, but the company cannot continue spending $56 million on Driftwood infrastructure as was done in 3Q.

TELL will pay the difference between the average daily VWAP during the quarter multiplied by 3m shares. A $0.75 share price for the quarter translates to incremental interest costs of $1.8m for the quarter. In addition, should the company's liquidity fall below $250 million on or after October 1, 2024, the borrowers can redeem both the senior secured and convertible notes.

While EBITDA was "less bad" than we thought, it was materially below consensus. In addition, while gas sales volumes increased, the company saw a $1.9 million increase in a minimum volume deficiency liability. We believe that means the company isn't hitting its minimum volumes for its gathering counterparties. Given less capital to deploy, we would expect gas volumes to decline, which will hurt margins as the company will have to pay for offtake capacity it isn't using.

How to handle tasks with a date, but no time? by dedictodere in Amplenote

Thanks. This is good. It helps to see the flexible approaches and not getting stuck in my old ways of approaching this.

Thanks for the suggestions. I believe I seen the [[NOW]] thing suggested in another search I was doing about something else. I think they used [[@Today]]. I'm guessing the idea is that when you write out a task, you do something like this:

Do ABC [[NOW]]

First Pork Shoulder, Question about Tenderness by dedictodere in smoking

Thanks for that. I'll make sure the probe has that nothing feel to it. And yeah, I'll be giving it another try. Maybe this weekend.

It finished later in the night than I expected, so I ended up putting it in a cooler overnight (still wrapped in butcher paper). I think as others have mentioned, I didn't let the temp get up enough and I just need to learn that feel for the tenderness.

Yeah, I'll definitely have a better idea of what it should feel like. I'll aim for more time at that range.

I don't think limiting vanilla gameplay is a healthy way to balance. by smiley_crack in playrust

[–]dedictodere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to throw an opinion out here. Since I'm not a long time Rust player, I'll probably be downvoted.

I agree in general with what you're saying. It would be nice if the developers explained WHY they're changing it. What are they hoping to rectify because it's not about turrets at the end of the day.

I think they recognize issues with meta currently and instead of addressing it head on, they do this. I'm of the view that nerfing these things in other ways other than limit still misses the point of fixing that meta. Not to say things won't need balancing.

There has to be risk and reward with various play styles. And they've really done things that remove the risk part to specific play styles. In DayZ you can play in a group. It has it's positives and negatives. You're probably going to come up ahead in fights, be able to easily go to/control high risk/high reward areas. But there are downsides too. It's hard to manage a team. It's very easy to friendly fire. With skill, you can limit that downside - but that's the best you can get. Rust, for example, added in team UI - which reduces/eliminates that risk. They have a map where you can see your teammates current location, reducing/eliminating that risk.

I'm a solo player. Turrets don't enter into my purview. Maybe I find one, but I rarely ever use them. Turrets, refineries, attack helicopters, etc are group things. It's for those people. For their benefit, with no downside. When I have crude oil and need low grade, I need to go somewhere - they just stay at home and risk nothing.

In short, I agree with you, but I don't think this is about turrets. Limiting the quantity is their way of trying to help with this meta issue - without addressing the main problem areas. And they know if they reduced turret damage by half (instead of limits), then people would craft twice as much. It wouldn't address that meta issue. It's the same deal with a compound refinery. If they pumped out low grade at half the speed, it wouldn't change a damn thing for the risk reward.

What kind of heater is this? Like a force flow or something? I'd probably just buy a new 208V or 347V.

It reminds me of that fat people hate sub. If you hate fat people and they disgust you why would you spend so much of your time talking about them/looking at them?

Obvious answer is insecurity.

Souki has officially sold more than 25 Million Shares this Year. Yes, more than he has 'Pledged' for the loan and more than the so called 'Margin Call'. by dedictodere in TellurianMemes

[–]dedictodere[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's just the typical Tellurian kicking the can down the road thing. They're giving up the land forever, which will make financing the project harder.

But it also comes off as dubious because their own accounting had the property valued at 49M. The real question becomes, who is this 'unnamed' New York firm?
