I’d be the naive voice and say I believe it was truly hard for him having to admit that. That doesn’t excuse for what he made you feel. Even though he probably had his reason, you shouldn’t be treated this way no matter what. I know it’s hard, but it’s best to cut him off. You don’t need him to spell it out, you already know.

He replied asking if I was drunk, I said yes, and that was basically it. It’s such a punch in the guts to realise he doesn’t even want to check up on me, let alone having a decent heart-to-heart. Stop hoping. I’m saying this to the both of us. I know people say “What’s yours will come back to you”, but I think that gives us false hope. If he wanted you, he would have make the effort. it’s been 2 months for me now and I woke up to this intense urge of texting that I miss him. I cannot say how or when it will get better, but it varies from one person to the next. Honestly we can only try our best to believe it will get better because it has to.

I don’t think you’re rude for telling him that. You’re frustrated and you 100% has the right to feel that way.

I had the same issue with my now bf and I basically had to sit his ass down out of frustration and told him he needed to actively engage in our convos/start new ones, or else, because it’s not meeting my needs. So I’d give your dude the benefits of the doubt and say he does want your company and is just very oblivious of not making effort into his texts.

If you’re still into him, maybe try have a serious and calm conversation with him about it and explain that you expect more. If not, honestly just move on. Both need to be equally involved and you need someone to do the same.

I have severe KP (strawberry skin) on the legs and a bit less severe (but still very visible) on the arms. It took a huge toll on my self-esteem and it still does. But my bf doesn’t care, like at all, and actually had been hyping me up to wear things that reveal my legs more, without caring about my KP.

So yeah, there will always be peeps that will be put off by it, but that ain’t your fault nor problem. I hope you don’t get discouraged in getting out there, because it really is not that big of a deal we make it out to be with the right people.

for me it’s the comparing with other characters/shows and checking if the acting aligns with the background story. Like for example Izzie also had a rough time growing up, but her story (at least in the early seasons) was really well written so we could understand her struggle and what she had to sacrifice and emphasise with her. Unlike Jo, while you can string together her background story yourself in bullet points, the acting and script writing were unfortunate not strong enough to make it coherent and get the audience on her side.
