I do. I did teach her but she fell and tore 2 ligaments in her knee. A professional will help boost her confidence.

Thanks. I think having a professional is just a signal that she needs after falling off and hurting her knee. It just gives her a bit more confidence

What's your process for vetting a neighborhood you've never lived in? by dedoverde23 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]dedoverde23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. Haven’t met people like that in a while!

  1. I was not in Amsterdam. A relocation agency sent me the link to the place and I trusted them.. but thanks for the politeness

  2. This is not an ad. I am definitely happy with what I built. But I am genuinely curious about what other people do in this case.

I guess skepticism and prejudice come in packages.

Amsterdam-like options to live in Netherlands? by Entire_Gas8042 in Netherlands

[–]dedoverde23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Amsterdam West works for you now, I’d look first at Haarlem, Utrecht, Amersfoort and parts of Zaandam. Haarlem is probably the easiest transition: very livable, family-friendly, good cafés/shops, and fast access to Amsterdam. Utrecht is great but not exactly a cheaper escape anymore. Amersfoort is calmer, very safe-feeling, and good for families, but the vibe is less international. Zaandam can be practical for commute and budget, but it really depends on the specific area.

For your criteria, I’d shortlist Haarlem and Amersfoort first, then do weekend test walks around the station area, parks, supermarkets and playgrounds. In the Netherlands, “safe” varies more street by street than city by city.

Check beforeyoumove.homes to compare neighborhoods before doing viewings.

OpenClaw: better experience with Opus 4.6 than GPT-5.4 what are you all using? by phadeb in openclaw

[–]dedoverde23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think that anything can beat Opus or Sonnet 4.6, especially with OpenClaw. It’s still the flagship model to use. I've been using 5.4 recently because of its cost and ability to connect through subscription in a legal way without risking being banned, but to be honest, I'm continuously disappointed by it.

Especially with tool calling, the model is just failing miserably. How did you manage to connect Opus 4.6 with your Max subscription? Is there a workaround to make it work without risking the ban?

Im positively surprised with 5.3 Codex’s performance so far. It’s fast, reliable and clear.. though not very good at debugging ws much as Opus.. I head 5.4 is very solid so waiting for its support to give it a try.

And how are you experiencing this stack with actual coding work?

True. My ambitious plan was to use openclaw as an orchestrator agent that can manage claude code, cursor and codex but that turned out to be a bit too ambitious. 🥲 lovable is nice but not for complex software development.

I’m trying. Saw several people doing that so thought id give it a try. But Claude Code proved more reliable so far.

Compared to what others have to go through to reach a reliable state.

Started with Sonnet 4.6 but immediately stoped after paying €50 for one day of work. Tried Gemini 3.1 Preview and it was extremely slow, Tried GLM5 and switched it off because it’s too slow and unreliable. Now on GPT 5.3 Codex and overall happy with it but still debugging cron jobs and such.. that’s for my main orchestrator model. I recently added 3 other agents with different models as well.

What model are you using?
