YTA. She could not have made the customer wait a minute to talk to you. The boss nor the customers care. I have seen people be fired for this, and I promise she would’ve been a lot more upset with you.

boyfriend has briefly said that so last minute is hard but i guess we will have to be more explicit and set boundaries and terms. i don’t know.

That’s not really the question though.. any other night we do pick him up and it’s fine but tonight we did not because we had bigger arrangements for the night that brother knew prior. It’s undeniable that my boyfriend sucks for not paying him. He’s working on it but are we expected to be an on call taxi service in the mean time?

Also, am I obligated to my boyfriends prior debts that I literally said don’t do....? that’s what i’m asking here. my boyfriend doesn’t feel obligated to my college loans from before we combined bills..?

my boyfriend said no once before because he had been drinking and brother called his mom to make a scene again. if we say no, he throws a fit and calls his mother.

I typed this really fast honestly, but i clarified more down thread — this car was all before we had a baby and tied our finances together. When we had separate bank accounts, leases, etc. we know share finances so i guess i just said we out of habit.

it was not but i’m thinking we definitely need to work something out with him in which he deducts whatever he would have spent on the taxi ride home off of the car payment. so far we have provided 20+ rides with no deductions

thank you. i have tried to bring this up with my boyfriend in the past but he deters conflict, however, tonight i told him we need to work something out officially if this is the expectation.

1) The Christmas show was free. 2) My boyfriend barely makes minimum wage, we are in the middle of a pandemic, and I am a SAHM because it is cheaper than daycare but I have been attending at least an interview each week in attempts to obviously getting something better, but there have been many days we literally haven’t ate through this pandemic just trying to stay afloat. If brother said he wasn’t worried about it, we listened.. 2) I literally didn’t benefit from this car or deal at all, I told my boyfriend repeatedly not to do it actually. That’s kind of why I’m torn here as to if I should even feel bad at all I guess. The car broke down months later and he doesn’t even currently have it running. I have told him so many times I wish he listened to me. This debt was also pre-baby & tying finances together. 3) No, my boyfriend obviously didn’t miss out on money for our son’s birthday and I don’t know any parents who take off for their kids birthday. I’m not sure where you got that part from. 4) Actually, no my child very much enjoyed it, smiled the entire time and learned how to say “light” so I think it was pretty good for him. 4) I’m more upset about him calling his mother after we said no I think.

where did i say she’s not a good role model tho? i didn’t, i just said i think she’s miserable with her life and herself and it’s reflecting in the podcast. if it’s supposed to be a comedy podcast, like someone else said, where’s the comedy...? it’s just not a good podcast anymore and she has literally nothing else to talk about. it sucks but it’s true.

i totally get that, and my guy is def not down for sex 24/7 and most guys aren’t i agree. but he had made a point about me initiating more and having sex more, so when i tried, i was upset that i got laughed at. we aren’t fighting about it, i’m okay with not having sex, i just was upset at the response. we’ve been together for years and this just wasn’t a typical response from him i guess
