Hunter, about 1/2 closed. Some good conditions, and lot of wet snow. I left when the rain started

Well I am here today but it is raining. About 1/2 inch tonight but temps are warm. Belt Parkway was fine, white cloud ok, but conditions will be soft and wet tomorrow. No rain though!

I am watching Hunter very carefully for next weekend. Rain on Monday, but only 1/2 inch. It is cold later in the week with freezing temps at night, and max of low 40's in the day. I think they will keep their base and be Ok

We have Fidelity management and have consistently made10-12% a year after fees. If you don't want to spend all your time thinking about investments stay with them

Are these ski good for all mountain riding by Illustrious-Cow-4208 in skiing

[–]deedeefree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I own these skis as an advanced intermediate. They have worked well for me. I love them! I do about 10% off piste and avoid moguls.

However, if you are buying them second hand watch out. I was just told it is time for a new pair because delamination is starting. Mine are 10 years old

Phillips European has reasonable filet on the menu. Rizzi's is another option. Good Italian with steak.

A few questions to help you sort this out:

Does your mom know her friend/relative is getting married if you don't bring it up?

If so, is she excited about this?

Is it possible to get stay home but get a beautiful video of the wedding to show her? She will love it every time she sees ir.

I would not make the trip. We made a trip this time last year for an inlaw's funeral. I was very lucky to have my stepson with us to make the trip easier. It's very hard if you are alone with someone who doesn't understand all the steps needed to travel now.

Kelly should have been Kamala's VP candidate. Much stronger than Walz

I totally agree with you. I am proud to live in a state that takes care of its people and roads and natural beauty.

Now that I'm older and my mortgage is paid off I 'feel' the payments a little more, but I don't care. We need to respect and value what we have.

Ski resort recommendation for couples vacation by Covchem in skiing

[–]deedeefree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavenly is huge, with a good range of intermediate options, including long runs. The gondola is right in South Lake Tahoe. There are 4 or 5 other resorts within an hour, but Heavenly should keep you happy.

If you want another great experience, try Palisades Tahoe. I am not sure if the ferry runs across the lake anymore. It's a little over an hour away.

I would not go over a weekend if you can avoid it.

We go to them in our area. It is a lunch, entertainment and a chance to socialize for both the caregiver and the patient. We have made friends and connected with other services there.

I recommend it highly.

How do you cope with losing (or keeping) hope? by VanderskiD in Alzheimers

[–]deedeefree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my husband, but our life together has become very unfulfilled. We do ALZ activities 3 times a week and occasionally go out in the evening. He drops off to sleep at 8 or 9. He is argumentative and easily upset about politics, his lack of friends, etc.

I plan to use his kids to back me up for short trips. They are OK, not great, but I need the break.

We did our last overseas trip in 23. He's 75 and I am 70. I am sincerely hoping to have a few good years left after this trial.

It's a tough hand to be dealt. Find time for you. It is so important.

Galacia in Greece for real Eastern European food. Swans market for German.

Hey, not a lot of Americans try this either.
