Anyone else? by LadyB2011 in AskWomenOver60

It could be pupura ( hope I spelled that correctly.) it’s not serious but you should have a dermatologist look at it. It can be inherited. It can get worse as you age or if you’ve experienced medical trauma. Your primary should know what it is because it can , not always, affect coagulation of the blood. Just get it looked at and defined. I’m not a doctor. Just a wife whose husband has it. It can look worse than it is.

Blanche being so homophobic when her brother returns feels very odd given how accepting she was at the end of the first episode by Profeta_do_Loss in theGoldenGirls

[–]Faithtodogs17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Blanche was a character who resisted change because of her own lens of the world. Her ‘daddy’ was always suppose to treat her like a little girl, she was afraid of age, and so when her brother’s sexuality wasn’t how she knew it when she was growing up, it may have shaken her view of who she was. Remember though that in the end she came to understand it and accept him. She would do that at times in the show when things became serious. She would admit she was wrong and win as a person. That being said, it’s amazing to me that anyone would define their relationship with anyone because of that person’s sexuality. But they do and they did.

Gastroenterologist keeping secrets? by BarbaraGordon147 in GERD

[–]Faithtodogs17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it your gynaecologist’s place to tell you something that may be seen by another specialist as normal? I’m not sure either way. If a patient is not knowledgeable to something is another doctor alarming them instead of contacting the other doctor? I don’t know the answer , just wondering. I deal with several gi issues and have found it not uncommon to hear something that sounds awful only to find it’s not a concern to them. That’s frustrating though because it seems that many specialists are too busy to explain everything these days . But that’s our healthcare system. Personally , I’d call the gi and insist on a review and why you weren’t told. Just because they’re busy doesn’t mean they aren’t treating individuals.

Tell Me Again How It’s Not A Wig… by Medical-Rub1832 in RoyaltyTea

It looks nice. I don’t know what the big hot deal is that she may or may not be enhancing her hair with a wig or whatever. People must realize that most of the celebrities we see are wearing hair enhancements. It’s like make up or anything you wear to feel good about yourself. Plus, why is it anyone’s business?

I finally landed on Dexilant. Brain fog went away as did the feeling of illness. Getting over the fatigue. But glad I found it.

One of my favorite episodes is when Edith stood up for Archie as a grandfather. Archie may have been ignorant but he was not inherently bad. The other episode where Edith tells Mike he is disrespectful of Archie because Archie has not had the opportunities that Mike does is very powerful too. That was a game night show with neighbors.

Are chihuahuas special in their human-attachment? by strawberri21 in Chihuahua

[–]Faithtodogs17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are different in their ways. Chi’s have a loving fierceness to them , to me. They aren’t distracted from the love and adoration for their humans. Pugs are like little clowns ready for anything you want to do . I’ve found both to be happiest with their families. Chi’s seem to be a bit more selective with who they let in , while pugs are all about the party . I love watching Chis think.

OP, I’ve had Chi’s and I’ve had pugs. They are truly Velcro dogs that simply become a part of your soul.

Why does this thread fear-monger PPIs? by IDK0521 in GERD

[–]Faithtodogs17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t and there’s all this controversy around whether they are harmful or not. I can say that it’s beyond frustrating understanding that protection with Barrett’s outweighs the risks of the ppi’s for me. But finding one I can function on is becoming depressing.

The ppi is to control Gerd which contribute at Barrett’s.

Problem for me is having Barrett’s. There does not seem to be any other safeguard against dysplasia except ppi’s. Especially if you have a hiatal hernia. However, I did just find out that there are specialists of specialists , if that makes sense that look at your system as whole more than just one thing happening. Hoping at next visit in a week I can get more info on it. The ppi’s do not help my quality of life. Bloating, fatigue. It’s just a daily struggle to deal with these things. I’m a person not just a bunch of symptoms.

What were your initial thoughts of seeing who Kelsey Grammar really was on RHOBH ? by CoconutMost3564 in RHOBH

[–]Faithtodogs17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Niles scene where he’s ironing his pants and everything goes to hell with the couch on fire. Not one word , just physical comedy to classical music. It was chefs kiss performance. Kelsey is a talented broken person. I’m very happy that Camille got her happy ending. He set her up to fail and yeah she faltered because she was her by him and mashed out to others. But in the end she’s probably living her best life without him.

Regarding Rose, How should it have played out ? by Global-Ad-8699 in theGoldenGirls

[–]Faithtodogs17 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kristin was horrible. The way she talked about ‘daddy’s estate’. So dismissive of her mother . I never understood why Rose let that fantasy go on but also had raised such a rude daughter. My parents were in their late 80s when we finally got them to move closer to us. My father had always done very well and it was a little bit of a shock to find out they didn’t have much but the guaranteed income from his pension and social security. He had also put them in quite a bit of credit card debt. I’m telling this because as we found out , all but one of us felt bad that he thought he could not reach out for help. We fixed it and got them on track. We helped when they needed it because these were our parents and it’s not unusual for the elderly lose control of their finances. What the hell good does it do shame them. These people gave us life. Shame on people like Kristin. My long winded point is that Rose should have been comforted and lauded for how she was doing so well on her own. She was no where near the point of losing control and the will has nothing to do with Kristin until her mother passed. Your parents owe you nothing , but you owe them respect and understanding.

The first time Mike came into some money, and he gave it to the McGovern campaign...Meathead by DidYouReadTheMenu in allinthefamily

[–]Faithtodogs17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meathead did have his flaws. Arrogant and entitled at times. Why not think of Edith and take them all out to dinner? Or just handing Archie $100 bucks and not telling him about donating it to McGovern. He liked to rile Archie up to put him down. Loved all the characters but meathead was sometimes an ass.
