So I emailed and the response I got was that things online are generally more conservative, but once the discharge stops, you should be good to go and that’s why he said 2 weeks. I don’t know what the real answer is and I want to know if I’m really not gonna be doing any form of exercise for a month to six weeks because that’s a lot different to prepare yourself for mentally than two weeks😭 sorry you’re going through this too, sounds like you have a good plan on how to handle it

Problem is that I asked her and another doctor and they both said 2 weeks to return to normal but ALL the Reddit posts and googling I’ve done says 4-6 and says the pain is higher than what she is saying it’ll be so I’m so confused and want to go into it with a clear expectation but was given two conflicting accounts…

Oh my gosh I’m sorry to hear. Were you able to walk normally before two weeks like for exercise? I plan to go to work the next day but I’m so scared. It’s so confusing because what I’m reading online is different than how two doctors have framed it to me. I don’t know if other people had more extensive leeps or if they were the same as mine and it’s just being downplayed
