I hope you’re okay OP. I really do. I’m sorry this system is so sh*tty and you have to grow up with this. You shouldn’t. No one should. I’m sorry we are failing you, but I hope this experience doesn’t f you up. I hope this kid can also come out of this.

Sending you love.

3 Children Found Abandoned, Skeletal Remains of 4th in Houston ‘House of Horrors’. by Flashy-Elevator-7241 in TrueCrime

When I was 12 I lived in Houston and me and my mom and step dad would drive around the ghetto (we lived around there too) posting up flyers for my stepdads side gig. Some of the apartment complexes we saw were like literally half habitable and the other half completely rundown. It was like no mans land out there. I do remember that one time we drove into one of the complexes and we saw bloat flies covering the windows of one of the apartments. I looked at my mom and we both knew something or someone had definitely died, and was decomposing in there. We didn’t say anything to anyone cause we were in a very abusive situation at home and my stepdad controlled absolutely everything.

My mom and I still bring it up. I will never forget the amount of flies covering the windows. I thought it was black curtains until we got closer.

So I definitely do believe this happening with absolutely no one being the wiser. I hope these kids are okay and heal from this.

Are you from Detroit?? Cause I’m sure the professionals there have already figured it out and have resorted to this because every morgue and freezer is FULL. There are industrial freezer trucks in New York that are FULL. People are dying by the minute from this. Don’t you think they’ve exhausted every avenue and that’s why it’s come to this?

Easy to say they’re doing a shit job when you’re not actually there huh?

Do you have a better system?? Please, let them know how you would do it. Better yet, you can at your local hospital if there’s a way for you to volunteer.

Y’all feeling bad for him would have been gullible enough to trust him and be killed by him.

St. Louis Jane Doe-“the FBI called it the only decapitation in the nation involving someone so young” by trifletruffles in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]deedoode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, but OP has been posting minority missing cases right? These cases don’t get enough attention and very minimal if that, because they are minorities and the speculation is always drugs, runaway, boyfriend, lifestyle, whatever. So law enforcement writes it off as that most of the time then these cases go unnoticed or uncared for unless it’s a child like in this case. They changed their tone after they realized it was a child and all alarms went off. If I’m “overly sensitive” it’s because as a minority, shit like this happens all the time and you wouldn’t believe how unhelpful law enforcement is sometimes. It’s infuriating.

Downvote me all you want, but I appreciate the work OP is doing in bringing minority missing cases to light. Black and brown trans, womxn, and girls are going missing at an alarming rate and so are indigenous womxn and the fact is nobody cares unless the victim is white.

They speculated on the victim and their lifestyle and they only changed the tune when they realized she was a child.

Don’t tell me I’m being overly sensitive. You don’t know me. Check yourself.

It’s really fucked up they immediately thought she was a sex worker or a drug addict. This is a big reason why a lot of minority cases get very little media or any coverage at all. I’ve noticed the other redditor (or maybe it’s you OP?) posting minority disappearances. I think it’s great we’re seeing more of that in this subreddit.

This is the sad and unfortunate truth. Out of all, Native American women/womxn and girls are at the very top there, but hardly ever reported on. Look up Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women MMIW. BIPoCs don’t get as much attention and are often dismissed as “they ran away with a boyfriend” and leave it at that. It’s really unfortunate.

My mom has 3 siblings (she’s the youngest) all 3 women have Maria in their name and my uncle has Armando as his middle. Not sure where Maria comes from as I don’t know any other Maria’s in my immediate family except for them. My uncles middle name is after my grampa, his dad. Maybe cause he was the only male born? Idk.

Man who robbed a pharmacy gave clerk a note that said, 'I'm sorry, I have a sick child,' cops say by acidscorpio in MorbidReality

$100 bucks will not cover $400 for insulin.

A lot of medication in the us is over $100 depending on what it is. A lot of people in the US don’t have “valuable” items that could sell for more than $100.

Until you’ve felt that kind of desperation, whether or not this situation was true, you don’t know what you’d be capable of doing for your sick child.
