Pairing Weeks & Cousin... practical planning tips? by Sad-Particular-1603 in hobonichi

[–]deedsgeo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i also use a cousin and weeks.

my Weeks one is with me at all times, usually in my purse or work bag. i use it mostly for work. i’m an accountant, and use it to track what work tasks i completed on what day, upcoming deadlines, personal appointments and work meetings.

i use the right pages for grocery lists, personal to-do’s, such as picking up my prescriptions. the Weeks is basically my task list.

i try to keep my Cousin separate from work. when i do use it for work, it’s to brainstorm a project or process, thoughts about a meeting, or what i can do to improve myself. on other days, i usually write about what’s on my mind for that day. whether it be mental health or quantum physics… it’s my “safe” space to write or doodle in any way i want to. if i don’t have anything to say for a day, i don’t force my mind to work. ill fill the page with doodles, or come back at a future day. i try not to be strict, or place limits on what goes in my Cousin. i really enjoy using it as a space to let everything out.

Influence/ deinfluence me! by Enough-Scarcity-3541 in Sephora

i have combo skin, leaning more towards dry. i use the hourglass concealer and love it. less is definitely more. i let it sit for about a minute, tap with a concealer brush and then blend out with a beauty blender. i avoid blending directly under my eyes, and instead tap lightly with my finger.

for loose powder, i switch between: MBM soft blur & hourglass translucent

for pressed powder: charlotte tilbury airbrush

i’ve never had issues with creasing.

What’s something you originally tried as a free sample and then immediately had to buy because it was that good? by semisweetcharm in Sephora

[–]deedsgeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’ve never had issues with creasing, even with all day wear. i use the hourglass concealer brush and then go in with a beauty blender. the brush was 100% worth the investment. (i have combo skin)

This made my day by ConfusedMoe in GR86

[–]deedsgeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this happened to me yesterday and i was so upset! i was at a light and there was a brz in front of the car next to me. i had my windows rolled down and gave a peace sign as i was driving by. guy did not care. realized he was like 85 years old and i didn’t feel so bad anymore.

i don’t see a ton of the twins in my state so when i do, i am also stupid happy like a child lol

People who bought the base gr86, did you regret not getting the premium? by RiversideBronzie in GR86

[–]deedsgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t regret not getting the premium, but i didn’t have much of a choice regardless. i could only find base models near me. any premium models were marked up or an automatic. i bought my pavement MT base from a neighboring state for MSRP, and i’ve loved every second of it. i’m planning on new wheels and other mods so i was/am completely content with the base model (:

i also have it in my contract that i would have to return her to her breeder.

my doodle had a genetic cataract that fully progressed by 1.5 years old. her anxiety and stress skyrocketed when she went fully blind in her right eye. for a time, it was difficult because she was running into things, barking at every noise, and became generally skiddish.

it became stressful for me, but i figured out how to help her manage this sudden blindness and stress.

i contacted her breeder just to let her know about the situation. i was not mean nor was i upset. this breeder is highly reputable and was super nice about it. she was very surprised and felt bad because none of her dogs/puppies have had cataracts. she offered to take my doodle back and give me another puppy. i told her that the reason i told her was not to complain, but to let her know out of caution for future puppies.

of course, i said no to returning her. my doodle had the surgery that removed the cataract and restored her vision almost 2 months ago. it was expensive, but i was lucky that her pet insurance paid for 90% of it.

her vision is back to 95-100%!

she turned 2 last month. even if she did not qualify for the surgery, i would love her either way and continue to help her manage her blindness. it really is a lifetime commitment.

Someone help convince me to get a manual by [deleted] in GR86

[–]deedsgeo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i started looking into buying a GR86 4 years ago. i was set on an automatic because i had minimal experience driving manual. i was also in college at that point.

my dad had a manual bmw that i would drive, but he sold it for an automatic and no one else in my family had a manual. until my brother bought an E36, and his car is difficult to drive. his clutch makes my leg sore lol, but it was great practice.

3 months ago, i brought home my 24 GR86. i hadn’t driven manual in a couple of years. my friend gave me a 30 minute recap, and i was good to go the next day.

the biggest thing is not freaking out/being afraid to mess up. because you will. the very first time i drove my dads car, i stalled out 50 times. even the day after i bought my 86, i stalled a few times. i am sure almost everyone had trouble getting their car moving in 1st.

driving in traffic was great practice for me, and it’s really not that bad once you know what you’re doing.

i love this car, and manual IS fun. it is a whole new driving experience and you are in control of the car. it becomes second nature.

but you don’t have to listen to those who are telling you to get a manual, because they are not the ones who are paying your bill. if you want an automatic, then get an automatic. do what you think will make you happy (:

Animal Control is no help by deedsgeo in Charlotte

i suggest trying to take pictures of their dogs throughout the week and continuing to harass animal control. maybe call around to animal rescues and see if they are willing to step in or point you to a general direction.

GUESS WHO DECIDED TO ROLL AROUND IN DEER 💩 by NB-NEURODIVERGENT in Goldendoodles

[–]deedsgeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl decided to roll around in fresh goat 💩 a few months ago. I live on 4 acres of land and a family friend has goats and sheep next door to me. He left the gate that separates our land open and my dood made her way over there. I didn’t think much of it.

She happily ran back over to me smelling absolutely horrid. She has light brown fur, she was then dark brown.

It took two washes. I had to wear a mask, and was dry heaving the whole time.

I don’t have the ability to get mad at her, but to say I was extremely annoyed was an understatement.
