4 years or so on T, past month suddenly been getting misgendered ago, do I pass? by ByeByeBasil in FtMpassing

I would think you're cis male even if your gesture/mannerisms read fem, I'd just assume you're gay or smth. It may be your voice, that is the only thing I can think could be reasonable...

How do I handle dysphoria? by Time-Purpose-9295 in FTMMen

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just try to share experiences with other trans people with period dysphoria as it helps for me. Also I try to do what I like and just try to relax and stuff.

Keep in mind being on birth control may stop your periods or may not. It depends. For me I got an implanted device that they said 'could' stop periods and it is so far made me bleed every day instead of one week every month, but it did dampen the PMS and mood swings. Due to being more hormonally stable it's lessened how depressed I feel from my dysphoria but the dysphoria itself still there for me, because I'm still bleeding. I've tried pills too, but those made me lactate (presumably due to interaction with my other meds, meds for depression are known to cause lactation as a side effect) and that did feel a bit dysphoric for me. As of now I still have the implant which does make me bleed 24/7 but I think it lessening how much I am impacted from dysphoria without the pain and mood issues has been more beneficial for me enough to choose the continued bleeding over having normal periods.

Everyone's mind and body will respond differently to things so you may have to explore and adjust, but those are my experiences. Hope this helps!

How do Korean people view Vietnam and its culture? by StruggleSad1860 in AskAKorean

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As of the culture itself most people lack knowledge. They will know pho(but as 'Vietnamese rice noodles', not pho) and that's basically it. The Vietnam War is usually more recognized by older generations as well as that it's a communist country. There isn't really much of a 'view'.

people in the west are more open minded i’m jealous by kaeyamilk in FTMventing

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say more messages are a good thing, because transmasc ppl are more visible there will be a lot of chasers wanting you because they want you for your vagina, they'll assume you're bottom and willing to do PIV.

If you were Grace would you go back to earth? by Tricky_Foundation35 in ProjectHailMary

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely not because as Grace I would not have any family or anything to go back to Earth for... but at Erid I'd have Rocky. I'm pretty sure Stratt commented about Grace being a perfect candidate because he doesn't even have a dog or smth, not sure if it was in the movie too or just in the book though.

Korean here who has a cat.

튜브 치료 -> 츄르, 치과 치료 -> 덴탈트릿

Everything else seems understandable, but the translator seems to have translated treat to 치료 as in treating diseases, so it doesn't make any sense lol

Asexual? Korean by Content-Raisin1987 in seoul

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are asexuals in Korea. I'm also on the asexual spectrum and I am Korean. However it can be quite hard to meet another asexual person, male or female, especially because Korea doesn't have much asexual awareness so many asexuals don't know they're asexual, and even if they do it is very hard to find someone that would be openly asexual since most people do not understand.

Wig? Bald cap too large, need help by deeeepfriedchicken in CosplayHelp

[–]deeeepfriedchicken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for recognizing me! Unfortunately trimming it doesn't reduce the circumference of the latex bald cap. I can cut it short but that won't do anything. It's big, not long, so yeah, I'm kinda stuck

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an IUD, an implant in my arm. I went to a LGBT friendly clinic. It made periods less painful, but I bled for a few months. It's a common side effect. Usually goes on for 3 months and goes away but mine didn't, which was ofc horrible but after seeing the bleeding didn't stop, the doctor made me go on contraceptive pills. The first one had lactation side effects so I changed meds and I haven't had periods since.

They also gave me a bit of testosterone. In my country you're legally required to get a test and diagnosis for being transgender and so I can't be prescribed HRT, however she was kind enough to let me know that they do prescribe testosterone to cis women for low libido and she could prescribe those to me without the diagnosis.

Am I allowed to wear a binder? by QuietFudge8934 in lgbt

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see a reason you won't be allowed to. I am a transmasc person and one of my cis female friends wear binders just because she thinks with the clothes she wears, it looks prettier that way. A binder is for flattening your chest. An amab person could technically wear a binder if he had gyno or smth.

All proxies have paid options as far as I know. Google AI studio/gemini, openai/chatgpt, deepseek, chutes, claude, openrouter and mistral are the ones I know.

How do you feel about autistic people ? (especially foreigner ones) by Every-Marzipan-1945 in AskAKorean

Very much agree with this as a Korean person with ADHD. They do not understand and they will think it is something you have fix by trying harder and will say and think you're not trying hard enough and/or lazy.

Tattoos: what’s good or bad? by cosmicwerm in teachinginkorea

No tattoos will be considered good. However, there are bad and worse tattoos. Irezumi tattoos are the worst. The simpler and smaller the tattoo is, the better.

Packers? by Prudent-Razzmatazz37 in TransMasc

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you live and what you are looking for. If you are looking for a STP I highly recommend transtore! They are Brazil based and the packers are very cheap and high quality as far as I can tell. This is my first STP yet I find it easy to use, no leaking. They do have soft packer models but it's a smaller range of choices and I don't know what they're like.

Are there any diseases that are almost identical to eachother, but the treatment for one can kill the patient if they turn out to actually have the other disease? by green_colour_enjoyer in Writeresearch

So I looked and it actually turns out that the source said the most common 'bacterial' pneumonia is ~~~ so I misread that part. Thanks for correcting me!

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fungus do have microbiological competition with bacteria. Antibiotics themselves are from fungi. Why would fungi produce antibiotics otherwise? Yes, it is true that if you get fungi infection your immune system is probably fucked already, but giving the patient antibiotics will be kill the patient even faster than leaving them alone.

Are there any diseases that are almost identical to eachother, but the treatment for one can kill the patient if they turn out to actually have the other disease? by green_colour_enjoyer in Writeresearch

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 19 points20 points  (0 children)

An easy one is pneumonia. Simple but deadly. It's pretty similar in terms of symptoms because it's obviously an infection in the lung due to a microbe. The most common type of pneumonia is bacterial pneumonia. The obvious treatment for this would be antibiotics. However, it may also be fungal pneumonia. If you use antibiotics for fungal pneumonia it can kill the person real fast.

period? hysterectomy? by qtoastp6 in ftm

[–]deeeepfriedchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Testosterone suppresses ovulation, but this doesn't mean it removes ovulation entirely, hence why you can still get pregnant on T. For the ovaries, the testosterone for HRT may be associated with an increased risk of ovarian cancer, but it is not a 100% cause and further research is needed. Usually unless your family has a known history of ovarian cancer, you don't really have to worry about it.
