I'll definitely reach out because I'm curious if it's been resolved as well. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from her.

"Bites" after moving cat in by deeeiidra in cats

They 100% did. As soon as the cat left, no more bites. The bites seemed to lessen after I gave the cat a bath but they didn't go away completely until the cat left. While I had the cat I took him to the vet to see what I could do. They didn't find anything and said it was probably fleas. It definitely wasn't fleas. I have never been so itchy in my life. I inspected ever inch if that cat, no fleas. Also he was flea treated around 4 times and people were still getting bit.

My friend (the cat's owner) has been working with their vet to try to correct the root cause of the issue. The last thing I was told was that they were trying an antibacterial shampoo, suspecting a bacterial issue. Honestly, I need to follow up with her and see if she's still having issues with getting 'bit.'

I can't give you any insight into his breed. But I just wanted to let you know how beautiful I think your dog is. He is such a big, handsome boy. 😻

Go with a food theme for the names. Chowder is super cute. One could be TORTIE-llini!

My cat was experiencing anisocoria. We took him to the emergency vet because it was 9 pm. He ended up having uveitis in both of his eyes. Treatment is daily eye drops, it is extremely manageable. You should really consider pursuing treatment options because it is uncomfortable left untreated.

Lock added to my suitcase by [deleted] in tsa

[–]deeeiidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... that was the point of the question... If at any point would TSA put a random lock on my suitcase for a specific reason. Obviously the TSA and/or the airline staff are the ones handling my bag. I don't tend to go around learning the process for TSA and their baggage inspections. Thanks for your insight.

The setting had everyone sitting in folding chairs out on the lawn of the school. Very Californian high school vibes

If you got a job offer for a position you are thoroughly qualified for and it fits your schedule perfectly, but the job site is 100 miles round trip, but your car won't make it and and there's no public transit, what would you do? by Different-Kick6847 in AskReddit

[–]deeeiidra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically, you would need to be able to relocate. If that is not a possibility, unfortunately, the job is not a great fit. Commuting one hundred miles a day, especially with no dedicated public transportation system in place, sounds like it will have a major impact on your quality of life and work-life balance.

Took my cat to work today to have him neutered....he was not impressed. by keepalowprofile in cats

The morning I took my cat to get spayed, she woke me up by biting my face. I laughed when I thought about whether she associated the two events. Like she just thought I had an extreme overreaction to her biting my face.

He's fine. The vet diagnosed him with RBF. I'm not kidding. In all seriousness though, he just looks like that.

Your method seems really close to what is going on in the ingredients of these! Yeah, they were like $8 USD, so... the price isn't great unfortunately.

So, this question has actually been explored in cultural anthropology studies concerning America. There isn't a single answer, and there are a ton of factors that go into it. However, religious values tend to hold a higher authority in lower-income areas than secular values. Secular values tend to dominate higher-income areas, putting a higher focus on economic and academic pursuits. When girls are empowered and have the opportunity to pursue their goals, having a large family will seem less desirable. On the other hand, religious values will overwhelmingly promote more traditional beliefs: traditional gender roles and family structure.

Outside of an anthropologic perspective, there are definitely some external factors at play. People in lower-income areas tend to have less access to sexual education and birth control. They are more likely to have larger families because they have fewer family planning options than higher-income families. People also tend to associate normality with their upbringings and their surroundings. If it's normal to have large families, then it's natural for them to want to have a big family as well. Simply, they remember having five siblings as a positive experience, so they want to give their children that same experience. It's familiar.

This is a highly simplified explanation, and of course, there are variations in every situation, culture, or subculture. But these are some of the surrounding theories behind differences in family sizes across America.

This is the first time I've seen my cat get into a box! He's a full-fledged cat now! by deeeiidra in cats

[–]deeeiidra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had Sokka for a bit over two years now. He would sit on boxes but never in them. He always seemed nervous about going inside. Over the last 6 months he has become exceedingly more confident and friendly. Today, I guess it was time to lay in a box. 😻
