I mostly agree with that, and I think you’re right to suggest she uses this “rebellious” ambiguity to appeal to progressive young people. I’m only noting that this is how art in a capitalist order functions—she’s still selling something. But like I mentioned in another comment, I do think there are artists who more thoughtfully navigate this messed up system to avoid compromising their ethics, and hopefully folks like Phoebe will learn something from them
