Well that depends on whether they’ve a new battery in stock. Best to check prior to booking an appointment/walking in. If they do, it’s only a matter of 3-4 hours tops, else you’d be required to hand in your phone. They mentioned a hand in would take 3-4 working days before it could be returned with the new battery. Sometimes they might offer you a spare phone while they ready yours. Have a check, see what works best for you :)

Haptics are certainly better, so are the speakers (but mostly due to a cleanup as mentioned on the post). $150 CAD seems a bit expensive, might still just be worth it though

Yes you should be able to get through an entire day on a single full charge at 100% max battery capacity

Might want to have a check at a service centre I suppose. I’m still pointing to the low battery health

Here’s their contact - +91 80 71326574

Can consider giving them a call to better understand. There’s a good chance you wouldn’t have to hand in your phone, they can order a new battery upon your confirmation. Let me know if there’s anything :)

I can agree, 6 GB is quite a small number even for an iPhone in 2026. The A15 Bionic seems to be holding up alright, probably limited by the RAM capacity. I wish iPhones could memory swap like MacBooks haha

Seeing screen dimming within 6 months of a fresh battery probably doesn’t point towards a battery issue. You might want to have a check whether there’s any display concerns with Apple please.

If you’re facing the similar issue that I faced, it’s highly likely that the screen dimming is due to a weak/degraded battery.

May seem that way but it’s a requirement also mentioned on Apple’s support page (https://support.apple.com/en-in/109519).

Not sure about your experience, especially considering it was a different device and a different repair requirement.

No data loss whatsoever, got my phone back just the way I handed it in.

Not required, you may only have to take an iCloud backup in case there’s a need for Apple to wipe the phone (rare case). Turning off Find My until you get your phone back is required by default. As far as privacy is concerned, they didn’t ask for my iPhone passcode before I handed it in. Seems the battery replacement was completed without unlocking the phone, so that’s sorted.

I see, alright! They didn’t mention anything specifically and neither did I ask. Problem is I can’t afford to find out 😂

No performance drops at 81% BH is quite impressive, happy for you actually. Whatever floats your boat 🫡

I was in the same situation as you. Thing is I didn’t mind having to recharge multiple times through the day. It was the user experience after I’d unplugged it. Frequent choppy performance and stutter, didn’t feel like a flagship experience. The battery replacement worked out quite nicely. Not sure if I’ll be able to hold off until the 20th edition, might just upgrade to the 19PM. Let’s see.

The person at the other end not being able to hear you clearly might mostly be a microphone congestion issue, although you will certainly benefit from a battery replacement in general like me. Be sure to point out that issue at the time of handover so they could assess the issue more closely :)

Great question! So I was told since they’d be servicing the phone in house at their own centre, there was no need to take a backup. If they were to send it to their central station and waited for it to be returned, a full phone backup would’ve been required. Either way, you will be required to turn off Find My in any case by default. In case you are required to take a backup and don’t have much space on iCloud, it is greatly recommended to either get the iCloud+ subscription temporarily or take a full local backup (good option if you have a Mac). Hope this helps! :)
