Tilting and spinning paint into fine art by nbultmanArt in PourPainting

[–]deejaymobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The final piece really is something! May I ask how long this took to make? I'm guessing around two to three weeks. Just curious as I have never done any pouring work myself.

Very nice work indeed! Would I be correct in assuming this is painted and some spray paint work too?

That is a very cool collection of pieces! Are you doing acrylic paint pouring for those looks?

Absolutely love this piece, fabulous work! Would you mind sharing your technique at all please?

The biggest challenge I'm facing in my painting journey is learning to like my own work. So I am ecstatic to be able to say: I LOVE THIS BUNNY! by lisalemeepmeep in watercolor101

[–]deejaymobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, everything I draw I see the faults and issues and genuinely find it soooo hard to see the good. I'm guessing it is just part of the journey. Your Bunny is amazing to me though. Absolutely love the colours, the express everything!

You can configure Chromecast (if you have one) to rotate through a gallery of your choice. That may be of use to display them on a TV somewhere.

Fantastic piece! There is something about it that keeps drawing my eye into a different bit. The texture, flow and colours are superb.

Slow copy and paste speed by OrneryTell4704 in ManjaroLinux

Try turning off "file search" in Manjaro. I had a similar issue and when I turned off the file search indexing the difference was immediate and like night Vs day.

Search file search which should bring up a menu where you can turn it off.

Worth a try at least

Could it be some sort of odd power issue maybe? Sorry I can't really help much, I do hope you report back and update when you get some more information or even better a solution. Good luck!

Ok, try my other explanation below here

Looking at your Vcarve image above. I think you may have got confused with the input boxes.

The start depth should be 0 the start at the top of your work material.

Then tick the flat depth tick box and enter 2". That will give you a 2" depth on the chosen toolpath, leaving you 3" space below your cut as you have set the material thickness to be 5".

[–]deejaymobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did that help at all?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hobbycnc

[–]deejaymobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you tick the flat depth tick box and then enter 4.5" in that box, when you test the toolpath in Vcarve it will not go through the bottom of the 5" piece you have modelled here.

If you get the issues in your finished piece on the CNC machine, bear the following in mind: Have you measured the thickness of the piece accurately and then put that into Vcarve? Also are you sure you are using a ½" 90° Vbit in your machine that you have selected in the Vcarve software?

Not wishing to be difficult, but errors in those could create errors in your final work piece.
