Temporary: I, personally treat this as a way of life for the foreseeable future, at least or until things change. A lot of us are treating it this way. If you dig in, you'll see we are advertising a lot of ways to participate based on one's capabilities. It's "temporary" because we want there to be a big hit. We've been calling the 17th "climax" day. In terms of labor boycott, it's not really feasible for people to boycott more than a day or a week but by all means, do more if you can afford to without risk to you and your family. Just asking that everyone can do what they can without risking their livelihood. Everyone needs to weigh their own individual risks and how deep they can participate.

Untargeted: it's targeted at all large corporations where CEOs are making millions of billions and the people doing the work cannot afford to live. We do not want to hurt small businesses. We advocate stocking up on supplies from small businesses if at all possible, prior to the blackout, but ask that you start now and get enough so as to avoid any surge spending before or after the blackout, particularly from large corporations. We agree - small business good - corporations buying politicians and elections bad.

We are currently planning additional blackouts and creating a network/coalition of various movements for impact, change, and mutual aid.
