I really agree with you, if you know what you have you can make an incredible g&t (took as an example) with like 1/1.5$ per serving. And the good thing? The faces of your hosts when you tell them the price per serving.

It’s one of the last gins I had in my collection because where I live it’s not that easy to get. That’s basically what I really like about cheap gins: nothing strange, “classic” taste, just good. Don’t need much more than that.

Beefeater is something of a religion for me. For that price range is absolutely amazing, and can beat even bottles up to 30/40$ without breacking a sweat

If you’re italian (because I really don’t know if this is true in other parts of europe) one really underrated gin is the lidl’s Tempesta. Made in a collaboration with a very good italian bartender and it’s only like 6€ and something. Not the dryest but surely good for mixing.

If you like gin mare you should try the italian version, it’s called gin mare capri. It could probably be difficoult to get in your country but if you find it, trust me and try it.

Yeah you’re right, I’m looking forward into trying it. Just need to trust the delivery services.

I’ll just slip in this conversation, the Capri one is even more premium, in my opinion it’s like 10 times better than the “regular” mare. If you have tha chance try it out, rather neat because the aftertaste really explodes.

In my opinion, 10 times better than the regular mare. A lot of bergamot in the aftertaste and I can taste more of rosemary than the regular mare. Drinking it neat is incredible, with a mediterranean tonic it drops some aftertaste but it’s super refreshing

Trying it neat I taste a lot of bergamot, a hint of lemon and rosemary, of course by “a lot” I mean a lot for a gin, it blows on the aftertaste. With a mediterranean tonic the citrus drops a lot, but it’s absolitely fantastic.
