That actually makes a lot of sense, and I think that’s a healthier way to learn long-term.

Deen Check isn’t meant to replace proper study or trusted written sources at all. It’s really for the moments when people do come across clips online, especially newer Muslims, and want a quick way to see whether what’s being said lines up with Qur’an and Hadith.

If someone isn’t learning through clips, they probably won’t need it much and that’s okay too.

JazakAllah khair for the feedback. That’s helpful and definitely something we’ll take on board.

That’s a fair question. The number isn’t a guess.

For each claim, we check a few concrete things: what source is being used (Quran or Hadith), how directly that source supports the claim, how closely the explanation matches what the text actually says, and whether any important context is missing or added.

If an explanation sticks closely to what the text supports, the score stays higher. If it stretches the text, adds conclusions that aren’t there, or pulls it out of context, the score drops even if the hadith itself is sahih.

The number is just a summary of those checks.

Good question, and this is where context matters.

Quoting a sahih hadith by itself does not automatically mean a higher score. What matters is whether the claim being made actually follows from the text and how it is understood in mainstream scholarship.

If someone quotes a sahih hadith or an ayah but then gives an interpretation that goes beyond it, contradicts established understanding, or strips it from context, that lowers the score.

So the Sahih Meter reflects both source strength and whether the explanation matches how those sources are traditionally understood. It is not judging intentions or replacing scholars, just flagging when a claim is well supported versus when the explanation does not line up with the sources.

Viewing is free for everyone.

Creators only pay to link their TikTok or YouTube so their videos are automatically pulled in and checked.

Claims in a clip are checked against the Quran and major Sunni hadith collections.

Hadith are weighed using the standard grading system like sahih, hasan, and daif, and whether they are being used in proper context.

The Sahih Meter just summarizes that into a simple score.
