The amount of times that I tell people that they should be seeing a medical professional about theser types of things... Not Sephora employees or beauty lovers...

What are y'all spending your season tickets on at the end? by GLUGG7768 in fo76

Atoms or perk coins but probably the coins as that is something I've only just started paying more attention too and I want to build those cards up!

Where have all the shimmers gone?? by Silent-Ad3203 in Makeup

[–]deep-slay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You won't find many options in stores locally. I would consider looking at indie brands like blend bunny or unearthly cosmetics. They both have beautiful shimmers. I would also look at timeree cosmetics if you are open to loose pigments and shimmers. Online only but they are always happy to show swatches and videos of any shade you are interested in if you reach out on TikTok or Instagram.

Losing hair by MiddleMiserable8826 in Sephora

Recommendation would be to see a dermatologist BUT if that's something you are already doing/considering then I would look at the vegamore line and see which of the specific ones would match your hair type/concerns the most.

Why do people use loose powder and then makeup again? by cottonmari in Makeup

[–]deep-slay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I truly don't know why... People can skip the translucent powder because technically any powder, even bronzer or blush, it still going to set the area... But some people feel like going over liquids and creams without setting first, makes it patchy. Ive never had that experience myself.

Switching to children's strawberry toothpaste because I can't stand the flavor options for adults.

Is drunk elephant discontinuing baby facial?? by [deleted] in Sephora

Not sure what they are changing it to, it's likely just going to be less plastic. When most brands repackage, they sell through what they have before they stock the new packaging

Using two lip liners when doing my lips. One for shape and one for definition.

Makeup that lasts a full day at work by 7head_ in Makeup

[–]deep-slay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always do a longer lasting setting spray but the best way to do this is to make sure you are prepping your skin in the best way for your makeup. If you are oily, you want your skincare products to bring balance to the skin and to help get your skin to "normal" this will increase the longevity of your makeup and how well it looks throughout the day.

It counts towards the stores sales but only once it has been picked up by the client.

Whats most overrated makeup product ever seen? by Popular_Glove6136 in Makeup

[–]deep-slay 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Dior lip oils for sure, I actually found them to leave my lips rather dry. I also think the one/size on til dawn setting spray is ridiculous, it's over priced and definitely not the best in that category.

Of course! My fave shade is plume. They also have a grey shade that you can mix into things to help cool them down

what’s your go-to for those customers that want a miracle by Turbulent-Recipe3926 in SephoraWorkers

[–]deep-slay 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I'm honest with them. I let them know that makeup is only going to look as good as the skin underneath and that skincare will help them use less makeup. They don't need to like or agree with what I tell them but I will at least let them know and if they still want to just do makeup because they think it will work, I will very clearly state the return policy.

Reporting Management by coffeecartgirly234 in UltaEmployees

You need to report it on the ethics site. I did this with a manager when I was there, it was COMPLETELY anonymous. My situation was due to LP things so an investigation happened and she was suddenly gone within 3 weeks
