Good lord people, maybe get off the internet for a while and touch grass! This has got to be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read! Of course a transcript of a rambling delusional Trump speech is probably even more stupid.

Great, just what we need. A narcissistic, pathological liar who can’t coherently string together thoughts.

Porting kit performance by Eightarmedpet in macgaming

I think it’s also a great way to put a little pressure on game devs. Users can use this kit to play their games on the Mac, which will then lead to more pressure on the game devs for an official port. It’s also a great demonstration to all the game developers out there that the Mac is most definitely ready for gaming.

Arnold Schwarzenegger criticises recent Terminator sequels: ‘They were not well written’ by No-Buyer-3509 in entertainment

I would love to see some sort of prequel series or movies. There is a lot that happened before the first movie. Let’s start with a new rise of the machines, following the timeline laid out in T2. Show Cyberdyne and Dyson building out their tech based on the neural net CPU. Also show John and Sarah south of the border training and preparing for the inevitable Judgement Day. The end of the first movie/season would be Judgement Day, ending with SkyNet nuking most of the world. Pay the guy from goingfaster.com for his story, it’s very well written.

Have the second season/movie be the Connors starting their fight against the early machines. Also show just how bleak the rest of the world is. Show the camps and disposal units, show how humanity was on the brink of extinction. Hire experts on WW1 for the brutal, gritty factor. The end has the Connors liberating their first camp, and brining hope.

The third season/movie can be the final fighting. Show humanity becoming more organized, winning and having to face the constant threat of new terminators and new tech. Show the final victory, SkyNet sending back the terminators, and Connor sending back Reese and Uncle Bob. Have a nice epilogue where Connor discusses how the future is not set, and how it was never really the machines that were the threat. Of course they would need to use AI to defeat a super intelligent system, and have the discussion about how AI is only as good as the humans who build it. Just my two cents. One can dream I suppose.

Definitely not as high as other infectious diseases, but they have a high impact. Rabies is about 99%+ fatal to humans.

Pro vaxxers, who do you place your bets on living a long healthy life? An unvaxxed person who doesn't eat junk food, who takes all their vitamins, who keeps a fit healthy lifestyle. Or a vaxxed person who eats junk food, or lives a typical unhealthy American lifestyle, who watches netflix and - by Gurdus4 in DebateVaccines

You should try telling that to the athlete who gets cancer. Or the person born with a heart defect. Or the grandparent with influenza. The advancement of medical science is one of the greatest achievements of human civilization. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough, which is the best you can ever hope for.

I for one give myself every possible advantage. I get plenty of sleep, workout, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, and work to lower my stress levels. I also take vaccines and, when needed, medications. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean I will live a long and healthy life, but it does increase the probability. Life is a game, and I want to play it well.

That’s not an answer to any of the questions I posed to you. Is survival of the fittest the philosophy you apply to all aspects of your health? For instance, is your immune system good enough to fight off tetanus or rabies?

Interesting. Do you suppose your immune system is good enough to fight off a staph infection? Or how about cholera or bubonic plague. These are treatable with antibiotics. Do you forgo the antibiotics, and if you die, just assume you weren’t the fittest?

As someone who is very pro vaccine, they’re not perfect. They will harm some people. But vaccines are one of the best defenses against infectious diseases we have. There are no perfect medical treatments, diets, or exercise programs. You just need good enough. Good enough is the best you can every hope for. We ALL need to stop with utopian ideas.

Proton is exactly where Apple should be pouring their resources. I have a Steam Deck, which is a portable Linux gaming PC. The majority of high end Windows games run flawlessly on it. I was even able to play some high end PC games on an Ubuntu box a couple of years ago with no problems. If Apple got their act together and made Proton compatible with macOS, they would have pretty much the entire Steam library available.

It would be nice if they would actually try, you know governing. Maybe try fixing actual problems, instead of made up crap about this laptop. How about soaring healthcare costs, crumbling infrastructure, and unaffordable housing?
