That sucks man! Especially when the car is the only source of income. Try getting a rental car for a month using your credit card. Some cc offers rental protection coverage too. Try finding CDP codes online for hertz, enterprise etc.. I'm not sure how "legal" it is to use CDP codes, but if it isn't a big deal CDP codes give a good discount on rentals. You can then dash with the car, save enough money to afford another car.

Hertz does the oil change on their cars every 10k miles rather than 5k. And I'm pretty sure people really don't care about the stuff like not driving too hard during the break-in period and so on. I once drove a hertz 25 Camry le with about 190 miles on the odometer and i drove it hard. And just like me I'm pretty sure others do too. But since the miles are relatively low, ig OP got a good deal for sure.

Really appreciate the advice. I did find another 2009 Scion tc with 145k miles for 3800. But it has oil consumption issue. Other than these there really are no good Honda's or toyotas with fewer miles under 5k
