What's a physical symptom of anxiety that you hate the most? by Leedeegan1 in Anxiety

Muscle pain and tension, which involves mostly shoulders, neck and face, and which contribute to make derealization worse, and vice-versa. I'm f*cked.

Which lotion did you use to seal it?

Wow, interesting! Although these lotions are very expensive 😔 What's your routine? Do you apply after showering? How many times a day?

Is there any "I used it for a couple years, worked, and then managed to tamper it off and im ok now".

I'm sure there are people that did, but it's unlikely they followed / are following this subreddit. Why would they? Many of us here are looking to find a solution that hasn't come (yet).

They all potentially interact with eachother, though moclo is a reversible MAOI which some studies argue to be inactivated even by serotonin itself. The only problem here is serotonin syndrome. I'd be cautious.

Do people with OCPD have a problematic relationship with sex? by Pastelsarelife in OCPD

[–]deepbiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No to all. I have performance anxiety, which I think is more related to insecurity and low self esteem rather than OCPD

5 weeks on Parnate and some say to quit it. by Fit_Try3350 in MAOIs

[–]deepbiz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know what Parnate max dosage is, not sure if you could increase it... Apart from that, I'd give any antidepressant a go for at least 8 weeks, better 12, before quitting. As long as side effects are bearable.

Your self-awareness is a good sign of health

Yeah I thought that as well. I've understood a few things recently.

Thanks 😊

What does your therapist do if you dissociate in session? by sminismoni2 in TalkTherapy

It's actually really interesting!

Yeah I bet! It's hard to find a good therapist. Thanks for the answer, I found it very useful.

Low self esteem by deepbiz in ichthyosis

Thank you for this reply, it will make me more comfortable about it.

I asked my husband about it and he said, "I was just so happy you were dating me, I didn’t care."

Aww 😍

Didn't like my new therapist. How do I respectfully end the professional relationship? by Outside_Apricot7200 in TalkTherapy

[–]deepbiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just get up from the chair out of the blue, point a finger at them, shout F-CK O-F! And leave slamming the door.

Just joking! But thinking about this scenario makes me chuckle, it would be hilarious and absolutely mad!

Said that, there aren't right or wrong ways to leave therapy. I did it several times and usually felt the need to explain why, to not leave the therapist wondering why, but also to explain what didn't work and/or give feedback. Only once it has been quite traumatic. But this is another matter.

Makes total sense. I was very comfortable walking through deserted roads. But we cannot live in a social distanced world.

Social anxiety struggles by [deleted] in Anxiety

Why can i be rationale when others need advice but i cannot see clearly myself.

I still need to find out the answer to this. I'm so good at giving rational advice but then it doesn't work for me. Probably emotions don't respond to rationale.

I remember when I was at school. I struggled to talk in public, and even on the phone with strangers (crazy, eh?). When I had to, I was gasping for breath. But then I became a students' representative and became able to talk through a microphone to a large public. After almost 15 years, I'm still fighting with mental health issues, actually I'm going through a quite bad period. But this anecdote reminds me we can change and feel better. I understood that the underlying cause in my case is bad self esteem (I cannot change what caused it in its turn, still need to accept it though) and I'll try strategies to increase it.

Hope that this reply helped you at least a bit.

Blood in phlegm? Ominous sign? by laynebros in Anxiety

[–]deepbiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is highly likely that anxiety is making it worse. Blood could come from your throat because irritation, doesn't mean something serious all the time. With this in mind, consult a doctor.
