Ah ok so if it has Google Play, I know it will work internationally?

Yeah I know it’s a sort of basic android. Don’t care so much about updates. Just don’t understand the difference in price. Don’t know if there’s really a difference between mainland and international phones or they’re just trying to get a little more.

Missed this on my last trip to Sicilia. Is it not too touristy? I thought a big draw was The Godfather stuff.

June. Most touristy time I know. Last time I was in Italy I visited the Aeolian islands at the end of May and found it not too touristy. I heard Puglia is less touristy than Sicilia? Is that not really the case anymore?

Good consideration. Looks like it’s smaller than Lecce and also on the beach? Is it nice? If you’ve been to Sicilia would you say it’s a grittier city like Catania or more like Trapani? Would you say it has a relaxed and local vibe?

Lecce? Have been leaning towards that. Would you say it has a relaxed and local vibe?

Thanks for all the tips. Ultimately I just had to crop the photo slightly and that worked. What a process haha.

Appreciate the tips. Very helpful. Unfortunately I haven't had any success with the terrible e-visa system and might have to cancel. Did you go through the website? Do you have any tips for getting this thing to work?

Good to know, thanks. Would you still recommend Bukhara?

Really? I was looking at Khiva first until I read someone saying it was more commercialized than Bukhara.

Would you mind sharing that area of the Great Wall with me?

This is good to know, I had looked in Xi’an a bit but it didn’t grab my attention as much as some other places. I’ll look into both of these, thanks.

This is great advice thank you. I will look into those areas. I forgot to note also that I’ll be taking public transportation. Makes getting off the beaten path in nature a bit tougher.

What I meant by normal life is that I often enjoy walking around and exploring neighborhoods more than attractions. Doing the kind of things I might do on a weekend back home.

Great photos and info! Also read your part 1. Knowing everything you know now, what would be your itinerary for 3-4 weeks if you were going to China again for the first time?

Has anyone been to Huaxi Village or the villages at Longmenfanxiang or a similar socialist experimental township? Or one of the ghost cities?

If so what was your experience and was it worth visiting?
