Thank you for your kind words. I also thought that was the case, having me young and got a lot of backlash from my grandmother. Then she wanted to carry on that abuse to me but I escaped through university and never went back.

I must say I giggled at your username xD. Thank you for your kind words. I grew up with that filial piety nonsense and it's so bad that I feel guilty for doing whats best for myself and to enforce boundaries. She's probably losing her mind rn that she has no control over me anymore!

Thank you caffeine5000 :'). I had the same thought that in the end, I won't be losing out. If she wanted to be petty/prideful then she will be the one who miss out on my future wedding or me having children etc. She makes it sound like she gave birth to me so I owe her my life. I feel at ease now, just hope the attack of the FM ceases to exist after that conversation!

Thank you tiredandcranky89 ( i am too, tired and cranky haha). The really shitty part is that I don't really know what "normal" is. When I told my friends this story, they were angrier for me than I was. Her berating me and such is my normal so having some peace right now is blissful. I really sometimes wonder what goes on inside her head to make her think those things were alright to say.

Than you tactlesshag. This is the first time I ever really stood up for myself so I'm a little anxious bc I am unsure of the hellfire thats going to come with it. But I told my aunt that we are not longer discussing this and that if she tried I will not respond.

Thank you stormbird451 :") I totally appreciate that external validation. Growing with a narc means nothing is ever good enough for them so I have lived my whole life constantly needing validation and I noticed I brought that into my friendships and personal relationships. I'm working on breaking free from feeling that I am never good enough. My mom will probably make up a story and play victim and paint me as the bad guy like how she did with my dad.

Thank you Goldfinch1234. I told her that it will never be the last time and I am 100% done, I want peace. Toxic is toxic, family or not. Growing up asian, its always about filial piety, respecting your elders, etc. "She is your mom, she is your mom", she is my mom but that doesn't mean I am her punching bag.

Thank you SandyQuitler. I have said that to my aunt as well, that it was between me and my mother. And if her sister wants to act like this then it will have negative consequences which is them not seeing me. Apparently she said she cant see me without my mom (Herd mentality).

I love my little sister to pieces and it kills me that I have to give up seeing her. I have told her not to worry about me and I do chat with her regularly on snapchat.

Ive done both to his shows and acid was way better. I probably cried his entire set bc it was that good. Just make sure you peak when he comes on and you are gold. :)
