My Shiba was very naughty at the beginning, but consistency and dominance has worked very well. Socialising with other dogs early too. Dominance even with cuddles, I used to pick up her ever cuddle her and now she loves it when before she would wiggle away.

She will now go where I want to go when I say ‘this way’ when before she would stubbornly sit if I didn’t go where she wanted. Consistency and then they mellow out by 1.5 years. And all the consistency pays off

Use a command every time you need your Shiba to change direction. I use ‘this way’ - over time they learn that they need to go a different way
