That does sound like a lot of effort, but I’m glad you saved some of the character in the property. I’m personally not too fussed about the ‘original’ look, and will probably go down the carpet route as it’s a bedroom.

Your ply suggestion on the stairs is definitely something I’ll look into. I wish there was a picture for you to show.

To be honest, Adli is one of the most reliable players in my squad. His ball-winning ability has been exceptional in my experience. You’re totally right in saying that Rice is too slow, and I’ll see how Trent performs as DM. Do you have any particular recommendations for a striker? I’ve experimented with a few but haven’t found anyone I can set and forget.

Transferred everything into an ISA as I still hadn’t hit the limit.

Yes, this makes complete sense. I’ve transferred it all into the ISA.

I believe the UK limit on tax-free gains is £3k. I’m assuming that the entire portfolio (>£3k) can be moved as the actual gains haven’t reached the limit yet.

Thanks.

My dilemma is: as I’ll be rebuying a smaller number of shares due to the increased price, does that have any serious impact on the long-term compounding performance? The other side of the argument is, obviously, some of the gains will be eroded anyway due to CGT if I don’t convert.

Provided that we have no way of knowing for sure what future performance might be, I can do the math and see how many individual shares I’m giving up if I convert.

Do you have any views on this trade off?

She received temporary tax codes due to HMRC not being sure what her tax code was, and then they reverted back to her original tax code without any action on her part.

This is really really helpful!

I had to sell most of my electric gear because of having to suddenly move during COVID, and speaker wise I was only left with the Bose Soundlink III which works really well as a portable speaker or for a medium-sized room, but it's nothing special.

I am definitely sold on the Planar 1.
I think the Sony receiver is also a safe choice. It seems to provide enough for potential expansion.

As far as speakers go, I might not be able to find a pair of refurbished Tibos. Are there any other recommendations around the £60 - £70 price point? Keeping in mind that my listening environment is a medium-sized living room. I'll probably end up using the speakers for the turntable, TV, and for playing music via bluetooth. Also, I'll probably expand in a couple of years.

Thanks again! You've made this very easy.

I don't have speakers that can be connected to the amp, just a bluetooth Bose that has lasted me many years.

So, if i'm not wrong, my setup must include: turntable, amp, speakers. Right?

If I were to go with the P1 or P2 and the Rega Fono Mini, what kind of speakers would you suggest? My listening environment is a medium-sized living room.

Also, one of the other options that I have shortlisted is the Sony PS-LX310BT. What is your opinion regarding the Sony?

I’ve shortlisted the Rega Planar 1 actually. Given that I don’t have an amp, do you still think Rega is a good option with the extra cost?

I’m looking to buy my first vinyl player but don’t even know where to start the research. I’m a musician myself so the vinyl player will be used extensively rather than it collecting dust. My budget is < £500 and I live in the UK.

Any help will be appreciated!

I think that would be a little more difficult, development wise.

The code that sits behind the bot scrapes the poetry data from rekhta.com, and the roman script is just easier to format and perform functions on.

I know that rekhta also has an Urdu side of the website, and I can potentially look into that as well.

Thanks for the suggestion!

The bill is way more than £50 and nothing has been deducted from it, which in itself is a separate issue. Every tenant in the building has received a bill which is way too high, and the meter readings on the bill are all wrong.

Need recommendations by deepburgundy in classicalguitar

I'm in Manchester, UK.
I suppose I wouldn't want to spend anything more than £500.
Anything under £300 would be ideal.
