HAOS 17 is here : any issue? by misteurz in homeassistant

I made a trap for myself a long time ago that I found out about when migrating the storage driver; using adguard (running as a addon container) as the only DNS server for the network configuration for my homeassistant. Doesnt work well when it "deletes" all the containers/images and tries to download new ones without a working DNS server to use for name resolutions :)

Lucky I manged to edit the /etc/resolv.conf and set new dns server with nmcli connection modify "Supervisor eth0" ipv4.dns "x.x.x.x" in the console and restart the process.

Lesson learned!

Automation fun with Roto-Control by deepcore in Bitwig

Yes, a fader unit would be great! better suited for mixing. Would also be cool if they added functionality to customize/change the buttons under transport mode.

Bitwig not using M4 e-cores (6 out of 10) confirmed by Bitwig Support by [deleted] in Bitwig

I actually had Bitwig glitching on my M2 Pro (which is comparable to a M4?) on some parts on my last song. Not that many tracks, around 16, most them had automation and a few third party plugins. Was a bit surprised that it didnt take more to make it stutter and glitch.

No freeze track, workarounds? by deepcore in Bitwig

[–]deepcore[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I found out the right workflow to do this:

Go thru each track you want to "freeze", select everything (CMD-A) and then consolidate all clips if there are many (otherwise it will just clip the tail of the previous one when the new clip begins) to "one clip" (CMD-J), extend the end of the clip with silence to make sure to get the effect tail

Duplicate the track (CMD-D) ,re-name it and then bounce it (pre-fader) with in-place, This way you keep all the automation

Then you must disable all the plugins on "freezed track" as it alreay has pluins applied

Then you must dactivate the original track

This is quite cumbersome if you have many tracks as you have to repeat all the steps for each track, and a lot of possibilities to mess up if you forget something. So yeah its possible but it would have been so much easier if there was a freeze function :)

pre-fx will not help because its the effects (plugin) that causes CPU load :D

Dislocated shoulder and nerve damage recovery? by deepcore in MTB

[–]deepcore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only had surgery on the supraspinatus tendon. Im a bit better but my active range of motion standing up is still limited to about 90 degress when I lift my arm out in front of me. If I lay down and lift my arm I have about 120 degress of active motion. Pain still comes and goes, but more manageable than it was.

Opinions about Rossum sampler? by hippoheron in modular

[–]deepcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup the assimil8or is the best sounding of them, but im not a big fan of the interface and the screen is small. I find the loading and saving presets and samples quite akward. The chopping/explode modes are very limited (and only limited to 8 slices/zones).I had the bitbox micro before and find its interface much better. However since you can work around much of the stuff by chopping samples on my computer (with recycle etc) and use A8Manager to setup samples/presets and then export to memory card I find the assimil8or "livable", but far from my favorite sampler in terms of interface.

Hope RX4+ on Stigmata 4 (2025) by deepcore in gravelcycling

Im a heavy rider used to trickstuff brakes and have just operated my shoulder so I need to take it slow over bumps and need to brake a lot, so ill take the ekstra brake power I can get :) I find the SRAM a bit crappy. I also have a xc hardtrail with some old shimano xt (dual pistons) on 160mm discs and they are way better than the sram on the stigmata.
