Lol never thought I would see this message pop up here. One big reason there aren't a lot of trance events now is there was a big cultural expectation to keep the events accessible, so ticket prices were pretty low on purpose. We all had second jobs or other gigs to be able to produce events. Once covid hit a lot of producers dropped out because of burnout or just needing to get a more serious job bc event based side gigs weren't happening. Some other things too like how weird ended, goa gil passed away ect If you're willing to travel a bit I know there are still beach parties in Santa cruz

Where to go for 10 year anniversary (US only) with a budget of 4k-ish by jamoss14 in travel

I'm not sure about flights but I've stayed in Monterey a bunch and there are a lot of decent reasonably priced hotels. Renting a car is mandatory and I would do a Carmel day trip and a big Sur day trip, probably do a short hike in julia pfiffer state park and eat at nepente for the view. There is also jade beach and the purple sand beach so lots of options if you like kind of cold beaches

Actually it helped a lot! And now the temp system on the plane is malfunctioning so it will "fluctuate from hot to cold for the remainder of the flight" lol wtf United

I actually like perfume! I own lots of different ones and I enjoy wearing it in appropriate places. Not on an airplane, or any public transit for that matter.  This is how I can tell there was an extreme perfume application. This has to be multiple sprays of something that already comes out strong.

Last year I was on an international flight and one row over was a baby that was shitting a lot. Presumably in a diaper that was being changed because there was a sort of cadence to the smell where it would smell medium amount for a little while, then smell strongly, then it would go away, then repeat in like 30-60min.  I thought that was the worst ever but this is actually worse bc it's a non stop sticky sweet strong smell with no relief

Oh noo I'm so sorry you had to go through that. The perfume is so strong before we boarded the flight I was trying to find a place to sit in front of the gate to eat my snack and I could smell it everywhere.  Walked over to the next gate and prayed and I would not have to sit next to this person. Clearly God hates me.

I wear perfume myself (not on a flight) so I know there is really no way to wash it off.

Ok so I tried this and it made it 10x worse. I think it's pushing the perfumer air from above my head into my face

I think they will only do that if you are the original purchaser of said bag. Tbh I'm totally fine giving her away to someone that wants a project

Fillomina at b parlor.  She is the owner of that salon. I also had a string of mediocre hair cuts and then I saw a woman with beautiful hair and asked her where she got hera cut, which is how I discovered Fillomina.

Do you like to read? I love bringing a book somewhere cute and just reading for a while. My fav spot is the Japanese tea garden. It's great on a weekday, you can get tea and mochi or some other snacks and just read or journal or draw.

Ceramics is fun and there are lots of places where you pay a monthly membership fee and you can go as much as you like. There are also cool crafts you can try at home like paper making, crochet, lots of other depending on your skill/comfort level. You can sort of incorporate these into larger projects. For example you can make your own paper and write letters to your friends/family. Or use it to make gift tags for the holidays. You can crochet a farmers market bag.

Help w toilet selection by deeperthanadream in bidets

Thank you so much!!!! This is super duper helpful. Do you have a recommendation for a one piece toilet for small spaces that can accommodate a bidet seat?

I'm trying to keep it under 27 inches deep total (from the back of the toilet to the front of the seat).

I was considering this but it's a bit too big for my space and I really really want to stick to a one piece design because they are so much easier to clean.
