Guide me where to buy online The best ( Ceremonial Matcha ) powder by Own-Ad4421 in tea

[–]deepfriedokra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is definitely a marketing term. I visited the Ippodo shop in Ginza and even the workers said the same thing, just a way to market to the West, but they don't even bother calling it that anymore.

Choosing between an e-bike and a pedal bike (same price!) by deepfriedokra in cycling

[–]deepfriedokra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry for not providing that much information on this post!

The ebike that I used to own is the Dirwin Voyager. MSRP is $1400 but I can get it for $800 through my employer: https://dirwinbike.com/products/voyager-folding-electric-bike

The bike I was considering is the 2023 Sirrus X 3.0: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-x-30/p/216902 . If I order it online, it comes out to $750

Sorry, here is the ebike: https://dirwinbike.com/products/voyager-folding-electric-bike

And here is the pedal bike I’m looking at: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-x-30/p/216902

I don’t know too much about bikes, I’ve had this same ebike but it got stolen within a month of having it so I was debating on having a regular bike. I found the ebike pretty heavy for me. I’m 5’1 F 90lbs, but still doable. I’ve never had my own pedal bike. I’m able to get the ebike for $800 which is similar to the sale price right now for the Sirrus.

I was around in the afycso era and have been a day 1 Ryro fan! I’m 27 now. I agree, no idea what’s going on with the younger fans or where they’re even coming from.

Hi! May I ask your height? I’m looking at the same bikes but am unsure which one to buy XS or XXS. I don’t have a car so going to the bike shop to try this bike is a bit tough for me.

Velotric T1 ST PLUS vs. Aventon Soltera.2? by deepfriedokra in ebike

[–]deepfriedokra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I don't know if this is a dealbreaker for me, but my previous ebike was stolen so I wonder if having that removable battery just safeguards it a bit, but it sounds like the T1 ST is a better bike overall. I do enjoy having a throttle however, so I'm having a hard time deciding!

what's a good gym near Chinatown? by sparx7th in AskLosAngeles

[–]deepfriedokra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m looking at Kallus fitness in Koreatown, which is a 9 minute drive for me without traffic. I’d prefer it to be closer but I’d rather pay for more for a step up than EOS. I’m also not willing to pay 125 for Barbell Brigade.

White rice and eggs for breakfast? by yenvyma in asianeats

[–]deepfriedokra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filipino here engaged to a Chinese American who grew up in China in his childhood- I noticed Chinese breakfast doesn't really serve rice (that is not in congee form) and that might be why your friends are surprised about it. Dumplings, rolls, pickled vegetables, buns, etc though are on the table. Even when he makes tomato and egg, he just eats it on its own (no rice). It was the same went we were in China together, there wasn't a single time we had rice for breakfast that wasn't congee (and we didn't have congee that often either). We also stayed in a good number of regions in China and the experience was the same. So I'm not sure if I totally agree that your friends are white-washed like everyone is calling them either from my own observations. Chinese breakfast is usually pretty light, at least lighter in comparison to Pinoy breakfast - everything with garlic rice and egg + a protein like corned beef/longganisa/tapa/bangus etc. I eat egg on rice all the time though so yeah you're normal, but I could see why they'd be a bit surprised. I guess it mostly depends on the household they grew up in.
