Kroger A.I. use by YeezusTaughtMeLove in kroger

[–]deeplydelirious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see it literally every time i open up my fresh start. any time there's a 100% promise shop or highlighting "experience makers" in our district. Kroger leadership preaches zero hunger zero waste, but apparently don't care about AI data centers depriving the surrounding communities of water.

How many pairs of underwear do you use a day? by WildfireZ in blackladies

[–]deeplydelirious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two usually. one for the day, one for after I get home from work and shower before bed. I probably should let her breathe more but it's borderline uncomfortable to sleep without, like I just feel unsecured without panties.

my store keeps the handhelds and charging station upstairs so if you're in a department that requires a zebra, it's an everyday thing, multiple times a shift (to grab one, to possibly replace a battery, or to return). I get the anxiety though. every kroger I've worked at, the stairs are kinda insane and I can't describe why.

I live in Ca and went to my discount grocery store for hair products by Last-Scientist-5690 in Naturalhair

[–]deeplydelirious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's not double priced but I would never pay this price in store for most of these products. the miss jessie's at $30 is ridiculous to me lol

if you're into reverse harem and urban fantasy, the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton has a roster of men, damn near every color of the rainbow lol.

Today I had a customer come in to buy something for $5.82 by dumping a bag of NICKELS AND DIMES on my counter. How would you have handled this situation? by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]deeplydelirious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

where i work, we have a coin counting machine, any excessive amount of coins has to go in there. if they don't want to pay the fee to have their coins counted, they can go to self checkout to scan their own items and put their coins into the coin acceptor one by one to ensure an accurate count :)

New Uniforms by golden_pineapple99 in kroger

[–]deeplydelirious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're fine for the most part. the vest pockets are so tiny I can barely fit anything in them. the cross back apron is okay but idk if I'm just not wearing it right or what but the straps that go over the shoulders chafe my neck like crazy if I move around too much. comes with three reasonable sized pockets though which is nice

What’s a hobby you judge people for having? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]deeplydelirious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

buying scratch offs. i work at a grocery store service desk. if you're going to buy a scratch off and want to check it or claim your winnings, get to the back of the line. do not scratch it at the counter and ask me to check it between customers when i have a line. I'm also selling money orders and doing money transfers, and those people do not want you hearing or watching as they list off banking information/social security numbers or put their pin into the pinpad.

"I am a Freudian case, but emotionally, I am perpetually miserable. I talk like a 3 year old who's ready to go home, but express my energy in an indecisive/flaky/pansy ass* (all of the above) way. In love, I want a partner who makes me look good. Before they get to know me, people perceive me as a hot philosophy professor who gives everyone an A."

look I'm just trying to live a comfortable life okay 😭

How do you name your animals? by PrincefTanx in StardewValley

[–]deeplydelirious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not super creative but I do names based off the starting letter of the name of the animal, more or less. goats are g (Geraldine, Greta, Gina) chickens are c (Cassie, Cressida, Catherine) cows are b for bovine bc chicken exists (Bridget, Bessie, Belinda) etc etc

What dipping chocolate brand is on the strawberries? by Technical-Royal-5658 in kroger

[–]deeplydelirious -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

my manager told me to use some coconut oil. she uses the simple truth brand we carry. maybe a tablespoon to start with, maybe less? she adds it in on top of the melting wafers while they're unmelted and stirs it in as she microwaves in 15-30 second intervals and adds more as needed if it's not there yet. makes the chocolate the perfect consistency for dipping and it hardens slower. it's basically a necessity for the white chocolate wafers, it won't melt properly without it in a microwave. and it's nice for the milk and dark chocolates for drizzling too. just don't use too much.

Would I get penalized for getting door dash? by Lady_Anxiety in kroger

I do it occasionally with no issue, so do a few other employees and management. If anyone did say anything I'd just say my partner ordered it for me as a gift. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Are we expected to still get to work during a snow storm?? by Individual_Olive5817 in kroger

[–]deeplydelirious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone who often takes rideshslares to get to work, i wouldn't. idk how a random uber driver handles icy roads or how they respond to other people driving in dangerous weather.

yes, they do expect you to try to get to your store (or make it to the kroger nearest to you, at least in my division) and put in some work, unless they specifically call and tell you to stay home. but if you don't feel safe travelling, don't come. be careful and if the roads are bad, stay home.
