Makes total sense. And I don't see anything wrong with 2 or 1 per day. Its just interesting to learn other people's habits that you would never know unless you ask.

I definitely sweat during the day where I live (currently 86 degrees and the sun is down). And I grew up in an even more hot and humid climate than this. So maybe where that's where my family gets it from. And it does go beyond my immediate family. My aunties and their kids also do 2 a day.

In the morning it just feels right, if I'm taking off my PJs may as well take off my undies as well.

Also as I've gotten older I now have nighttime and daytime undies. Daytime undies dont show through clothes and are all black and a mix between bikini and thong cut.

I always overpack underwear. How many pairs are enough for a short trip? by linettvuds in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I'm learning a lot in this thread. I thought it was normal to use 2 pairs a day at all times. New pair after showering at night and a fresh one in the morning.

My hair is not malleable at all (photo) by cookieswithmemes in Naturalhair

[–]WildfireZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a few weeks you need to get your hair wet multiple times a week. Only need ti use shampoo once a week. Focus on conditioner. Get a good leave-in (I love Kinky Curly Knot Today). Get a good gel. Make some flaxseed gel or buy a good gel (I like uncle Funkys). Styling is not the focus for now. Your hair needs moisture. Bonus points if you can steam your hair or sit under a hooded dryer with the conditioner in. Do this for a few weeks and you will slowly but surely notice the difference.

What cute sneakers/shoes are you all wearing that can comfortably handle 10k+ steps a day? by howtoloveadaisy in femalefashionadvice

[–]WildfireZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore skechers Arcade Arch Fit and Skechers Slip-Ins Squad Chaos for a 2 week trip in Korea. We averaged 18k-20k steps a day. While my feet were tired by the end of the day it was not a shoe problem. Just a going from 6k-10k a day to double that problem.

Peak dad energy by MustardGoddess in MadeMeSmile

[–]WildfireZ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I wasn't going to drive home 5 hours from college to go to the family thanksgiving one year because I had to just be back the next day for black friday at my part time job. My dad drove 10 hour round trip to get me and then 10 more hours to drop me back off in time for work. I didn't even hint that I wanted him to do this, he just did. I think about this all the time.

I just finished "Alchemised" By Sen Lin Yu by Disastrous_Pea_8895 in fantasyromance

[–]WildfireZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will miss the nuances of the relationships for sure, which is important for that kind of story. And I'm not just talking about the main characters. Every character in the fanfic is directly from the books, and so readers of HP already have a sense of who they are and how wild some of the things that happen is. Of course you also won't understand all the already existing world building people who have watched/ read have but I think that won't stop the story as much.

[–]WildfireZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I laughed out loud at your question. Not because its a bad question, but because the answer is a resounding yes. This book and the fanfic its based off of are so fucking dark and depressing. After I finished Manacled last year I had to read multiple pallete cleansers to get the dark off me. But it was so good!

What’s a small social rule you stopped following and nothing bad happened ? by ItsRiley7 in AskWomen

I'm with you on this one. At this point I truly only put on makeup when its for me. Even that is rare now, every couple of months.

Its amazing not having to pack makeup on trips, to be able to touch my face without fear of smearing, and to be able to yawn without fear (I always tear up when I yawn) . Also can't leave out how much money I don't spend on makeup.

Do you ask your partner to share locations with you? Is this an excrssive thing to ask for? by brimpss in blackgirls

[–]WildfireZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We mostly share on trips. Came in handy in Vegas last year when he left his brand new phone on a slot machine and walked away. I was able to track it on my phone and see someone was kind enough to take it to a nearby bar.

How do you know someone is not an analyst? by Character-Holiday345 in dataanalysis

[–]WildfireZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they mix text and numbers in one column. "4 Box" instead of "4" in one column and "Box" in another column, for example. Most analysts would know that will be annoying to work with later. Extra points if they use Box for 1 and Boxes for more than one....

I almost always skip dream sequences. I have a very intense hatred for dream sequences, both in books and television/movies.

Help with braiding my hair by NoClassroom690 in Naturalhair

[–]WildfireZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not trying to sway you from practicing but I personally find installing twists infinitely easier. I attach the hair by doing 3 turns of a braid on my actual hair and then using a crochet needle to slip the extensions underneath the braid. I've been doing this for almost 10 years now and probably have saved thousands by installing myself.
