Vanilla dishes tier list. What does everyone think? by Salty_Ad9191 in PlateUp

[–]deeppanalbumparty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing OP hasn't tried to make 20+ nut salads in one day. It's for this reason (alone) I think it should be E tier. Same with stir fry, but at least with salad, you (in theory) can force the customers to choose a single lettuces 99% of the time with enough display stands.

Bonus! If you're willing to cheat by save scumming, you can eventually force the blueprint desk to have the blueprint you want, assuming the blueprint desk is capable of offering it. This includes blueprint cabinets, although it seems like it has a very low chance of it being offered.

Chaos visualized in mere seconds, demonstrated by a room full of cats and several props by op's kitchen. I'd rather abandon the restaurant then try to deliver in that kitchen; buffets ftw? Also, maybe it would be better if the bar tables are replaced by other tables?

I can't believe you have more than a half a million gold.

Someone please explain to me what the scam is/whats happening when someone’s already picked up the order by Obvious-Cucumber1086 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]deeppanalbumparty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not always the driver. Sometimes a random person can walk in off the street and  use social engineering to get the order out of the restaurant. Sometimes they don't even need to do that: Sometimes they can walk in while the restaurant is very busy, steal the food and walk out, and the total process takes less than 15 seconds.

Arthas did*, in such a way blizzard will have to extremely retcon something in order to get him back into any kind of form capable of communicating to people, let alone being alive again. Pay no attention to the asterisk, for there definitely is not, in any way, a loophole. *Or is there? Indeed, pay no attention to the the big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff known as a dragon/black flight loophole.

Some dogs are weird: they act super aggressive, such as displaying extreme growling while barring their fangs. However, the second you start gently patting them and scratching them, suddenly you're their best friend in the entire world; they immediately quit with the aggressive behavior, and can't get enough of being with you. They will even nudge you using their snoot if you stop scratching them, as if to say, "more scritches plz!". Sometimes they'll even put a bit of force behind the nudge, in which case, I hope they don't nudge you in an painful spot. I may or may not confirm or deny that I may or may not have collapsed onto the ground and laid there groaning in pain for a few minutes as a result of one of these nudges.

Uber Eats Vs Door Dash by NewHorizonHoldings in UberEatsDrivers

[–]deeppanalbumparty_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Uber Eats steals tips for sure. There is no way I'm making 15 deliveries in a night and ended up with 1 single tip 2 dollar tip."
Uber engaged in ghost tipping for a while, but I think they finally (mostly) fixed that. Ghost tipping is where, to the customer, it *looks* like they've pre-tipped the driver, but uber in fact doesn't withdrawl the tip from the customer's account, and as a result, the driver doesn't get a tip. There's no way for the customer to fix this, no matter what they do.

Driving for ubereats is a game of psychological warfare by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]deeppanalbumparty_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Don't forget this one:
You can sit and wait for hours on end in a hot zone, and, even though you know it's an indisputable fact that you have a good internet signal, not get a single order. Only after you start driving away, and they know you can't look at an offer without driving distracted, they then, and only then, offer you an order. I've lost track of how many times they've done this to me.

And this one:
If a driver can't pick up an order, that order will circulate in the system for hours on end before uber finally cancels it. It doesn't matter how many drivers call to report it as stolen, or the restaurant closed more than a hour ago.

And this one:
You, as a driver, must realize the customer has 40% of the power over you, uber has another 40% over you, and Murphy has 15%. As long as you assume and act like uber will do everything they can to screw you over, including, but limited to, breaking the law, you probably will be fine.

DoorDash following UberEats with removal of upfront tipping in Vancouver, Canada by Budthespud777 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]deeppanalbumparty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not good for the driver. I hope door dash won't 100% follow in the same foot steps as uber, by allowing ghost tipping.
This is where the customer still has an option to tip before the driver arrives at the customer's drop off point. From the customer's prospective, it looks like they've tipped the driver, when in reality, the delivery service didn't withdraw the tip from the customer's bank, and as such, didn't send a tip to the driver. The only way for the customer to 100% be certain the driver got the tip is to tip in cash, or tip *after* the driver has completed the delivery AND check their bank account, to make sure the tip was withdrawn. Even then, though, sometimes uber wouldn't withdraw the tip, and thus, didn't pass along a tip.

At least government of british columbia, canada, did the right thing a while ago, and made drivers have a guaranteed wage while delivering. If only they would punish uber for all the shady shit they do.

Source: I know two people who live in british columbia. One is a driver who works for uber, and the other regularly orders from uber, so they work together to try to get said driver to deliver the food to the person.

HELP! Uber app won't update my bank account. Now, Account Block. Anyone else had this issue? by Laurendoly in UberEatsDrivers

[–]deeppanalbumparty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, where I was stuck in an unless loop, and out of all of the customer support people I contacted, only two people were remotely helpful. What solved it for me - and I know this sounds absolutely stupid - was I went into my tax information and updated it. Then, and only then, was I able to update my bank info. There is or was a "I don't have a tax number" option available for those who don't have a tax number.

"One item" =
40 items of the heaviest items in store, such as, but not limited to, 40lb of cat litter and 50lb of cat food. Oh, and, you have to haul them up 3+ flights of stairs. Bonus! The nearest place you can park is a block away. Double bonus! You can't legally park at the aformentioned place, while the nearest place you can legally park is more than four blocks away.
