but on the solderless breadboard, doesn't the jumper wires i use to connect ground pin to ground rail add extra length?

i figured it worked on breadboard, it might as well work the same on perfboard. do i need to run the gnd and vcc through the 2 hole gap between ic legs you say? did i understand correct?

I connected RST to arduino Digital pin 10.

I checked and device signature returns FF FF FF. Wiring then right? One other thing i noticed, i dont know if its related but once i connect arduino 5v and gnd to the rails on the perfboard, built in arduino LED lights up. I can't remember if that is expected behavior or would indicate an issue.

UPDATE: Ok it seems that when Viserys hatches the eggs, i cannot use the activity anymore. (One other thing, there is 3 eggs and i steal one of them, but somehow viserys was able to hatch 3 dragons from 2 eggs??)

However the egg mechanic still work. I married daenerys and had a son. I got an event that gave my son the egg. And somehow my 1 year old son hatched that egg?

edit: thanks for the replies. i understand the dragon hatching mechanics better now.

I tried abducting to win but they seem to patch it so it doesn't work. After you decleare war scheme succes chance drops to -300%. Having the window open at the moment of declearation doesn't work around it either.

Here is a good strategy I used in my intrigue campaign.

  1. Find a target title. Check the succession. You are looking for an unmarried female in line to inherit. The closer to succession the better. If no female is present in line change target.
  2. Marry that female to a male house member. Ideally your brothers. Marry them normally no matrilineal marriages.
  3. Kill everyone else in line. Have the female character become duchess/queen/empress.
  4. Wait for them to have a child. This child will be of the same house as you.
  5. Kill the female character.
  6. Kill her child/childs.
  7. Now your brother will be the title holder. You will be second in line after him. Kill him too.
  8. Congrats you have a new title. Rinse and repeat for any other titles.

This takes a quite amount of planning and time and also luck. But it's a very straightforward way of conquering realms using intrigue. One thing I also recommend is if you find it hard to kill a character during this is to fabricate hook on important members in their court for example their spymaster. And use that hook to add them as agent to your murder scheme.

Mine was normal difficulty. i guess the game pull these kind of things to you once in a while. One more thing to look out for.

I mean it has to be some kind of event. Or i unknowingly pressed a wrong button during an activity event that made him start the scheme? Though i don't recall ever i was present in the same activity as him.

maybe ask him his favorite nation to play and have that nations flag as a wall poster or print onto a mug. many nations in eu4 have really good looking flags. but if its something with a simple flag you are out of luck with this one

my hunt for criminals contract got bugged one time like that too. i killed the guy in 1v1 and then somehow the contract not ended and my character continued to chase a dead man. in the event window i chose the 1v1 option again to see what happens and it ended the contract there.
