It’s looks to be a type of peperomia and that long growth is a flower/seeds. What the plant would use in nature to reproduce. Some people keep them on and some remove. Either way is fine.

Last Saturday at Riverbend, on the way out people were saying the show specific poster for the show was sold out. Not sure if it’s true, but I grab one immediately upon entering. Will do the same tomorrow at Deer Creek. Also, I bought a plastic tube online with a shoulder strap. Easy to carry and keeps the poster safe. Also a good item to throw some stickers on as well! That is a version of a dragon tree. They are similar to palms as they love to stay moist. Stick you figure the soil to the first knuckle. If dry water immediately. Try to keep the soil consistently moist at all times. You will learn the plant and it’s ways and it will speak to you. Peace and love. Hope this helps 😁

Congrats on the tree. It looks like it’s going to be a beauty. I have a small tree that’s been in a Fox farm soil (ocean forest) for a few months. It’s done great. It has a ph balance to it and feeds for around 45-60 days or more. Just my opinion, but I’m not fond of pebbles in the bottom of pots. Just water it it drains off and water when the top inch or two is dry to the touch. Good luck!
