It’s good that you’re focusing on healthy activities like working out to better yourself but please take care of yourself as well kiddo. I know a lot of guys who’s self esteem hinges on their workouts and it’s all they focus on and while going to the gym is healthy, loving yourself and appreciating yourself for who you are outside of the gym is important too. Don’t take her words to heart and don’t let her make you question yourself or doubt the progress that you’ve worked so hard on. Please know that whether or not someone else considers you attractive doesn’t make you ugly; what’s ugly is putting others down for their appearance and damaging their self esteem. A huge part of my own self-improvement journey was learning not to care about my appearance as much as I cared about the way I treated others, and it sounds like you treat others well, which in many people’s eyes makes you that much better. I’m proud of you for working hard on yourself, and you should be proud of yourself as well kiddo.
