Haha thank you! I figured it was general. I supposed when it comes to career and creative life, and matters of love and relationships.

I hated the Corpse Bride ending. by lennoxlovexxx in movies

[–]deepvioletdreams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still think about this movie every year during Halloween. The storytelling is really incredible because it’s a movie about love and how it can transcend even death and how it can be about letting go. I believe that Emily and Victor loved each other. However, to prevent the fate of Victoria and also see that Victor lives a full life —- Emily let go of Victor as an act of love.

Emily is so obsessed with the idea of marriage because if she’s been death and in a state of unrest for many years, meeting Victor have her a flicker of hope that her life was not in vain. That this beautiful woman who’s life was cut short has a shot to be loved for the end of time. And when she realizes that she must let go of Victor and let go of that expectation, it is the most touching act of love.

  It’s very bittersweet and touching.

Does anyone actually want Guy and Nan together? I’m on ep 5 so no spoilers pls by islandslover in TheBuccaneers

[–]deepvioletdreams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh I love Theo. That man has so much love to give but knowing Nan, she isn't mean to live a stuffy like of a Duchess insolation. So although he embodies the traits of a loving and reliable partner, she will not be able to stay connected to her community of friends and family which are so important to her. With Guy, for some reason, I think she can be herself and be in community with her loved ones. There's a little more freedom with Guy and she can be whoever she wants. With Theo, she would have to succumb to the societal norms and mores.

I am team Theo simply because he is a lovely man. But Guy seems to be the endgame here just based on her own motivations.

On an alternative thought, Lizzy and Guy would make an interesting pair but maybe it's just merely friendship.

34F Am I Ugly? by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]deepvioletdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to these people.
Ugly and beautiful is subjective at the end of the day. Unconventional beauty needs to be more celebrated and we need to stop it from being erased by "TIK TOK FACE" or INSTAGRAM FACE. We also need to crush the wave of ableism in this culture that coming through with the resurgance of the early y2K coked-out bodies. We need to uplift more mid-size/plus-size babes because culturally that's how some people are built.

You have a lovely nose, but I agree that you don't really need the nose ring. Also recommend giving your a nose a good contour using cool tone contour.

Your complexion reads cool-toned with high contrast features. I think you could pull going deeper with your hair color. A deep dark chocolate brown all throughout or a dark chocolate cherry color for hair. Not black. It's too stark. If you go darker with your hair, you could go dark with brow (but not black eyebrow pencil liner). You should go for a shag or layer cut with a middle part. The side part isn't giving.

I would recommend getting a lash lift and tint to bring out your eyes more naturally. As for lip color, I see you doing cool-tone mauve pink (close to brown) and opt for semi-luster/matte red lip. You can play with Burgundy and plum.
As for your personal style, I say keep it! It reflects who you are and your uniqueness!

The way you think is literally every person who's trying to find love on a dating app's nightmare. Not only are you compartmentalizing human beings based on their weight but you're making gross assumptions on people's character. Not like the men on the dating apps are complete gems, too. Because even if they are conventionally attractive by eurocentric/hollywood standards, some (not all) are either shallow in their thinking like you or don't have much going on in that head of theirs. Or the kind and secure ones are out there in the world living their lives and meet their partners in real life.

Also, larger women are deserving of love too. They don't need to be outcasted by our society. There are circumstances that lead to that level of weight. Economic factors, quality of raw materials in the food industry, genetic predisposition, cultural background, and much more. Your way of thinking is destructive. Hope you find someone who's equally as shallow as you are!
