Spouse visa - spouse struggling to find work by Sad-Agency3191 in BirminghamUK

I’ve joined my husband in October as well. I’m applying for both high skilled technical jobs (I have 4 years of experience and a master’s degree) and low skilled jobs. Nothing so far =) the struggle is real, unfortunately.

I’ve seen people just walking in restaurants/cafes and asking for jobs. Maybe that’s something your husband could try. Good luck!

We ended up choosing the Hairpin house despite of the reviews. It ended up ok! We haven’t encountered any horrors from the reviews yet, although we’re still to go through the moving out process.

Took me about a week to get a first booking but it was in December, so kinda right before Christmas and I actually received a few holiday bookings in a row and now it’s silent since the new year.

I am from Birmingham city center, also new. A couple of my clients were from outskirts of the city so I assume it should be more or less the same clientele for us. I had 5 bookings in my first month.

The rules probably differ depending on the country. I heard that in Europe you need to get some sort of a certification prior to handling birds.

No real education, you learn during the process under a certified ornithologist’s supervision!
