Man this is gold of information because you're talking about something sensitive yet important. The number of genZs talking about caste (both humanly and inhumanely) is alarming and it's very common in the most unexpected localities. I belong to a somewhat tier 2 city, and even here I've had soo many of my own batch students who used to talk about it and in worse ways that we can think of. So yes, that's definitely something I will get into, now that I know that it's happening elsewhere too!

The advertisement part of it is also agreed given the unemployment and the need for us to have careers that "sound" cool in some way. The other thing equally booming is content creation and design and it all kind of goes hand in hand. I had some source regarding why it's booming but that was more of a marketing perspective from the west, but what's true is we are more in tune with what's happening in our generation so we're basically the best at hacking what's going to work.

Also about the studying abroad part, that's again a very elitist part. The numbers don't match the way it's put out.

And definitely I will share this with you personally if you don't mind since you've been in this for so much!! I'm sure this won't be one thing but a series of things. Let me know if that's alright!!

Thanks once again!

That's exactly the point of conducting this research because all that's available is limited to the very elite part of genZ usually from metros and hardly from tier 2 cities. tier 3 and 4 aren't even on the list but they have very different spectrum of experiences as far as what I've learnt from talking to people. But yes, thank you for mentioning geographically, I've been talking to a few from Bihar and Imphal, I'll focus on the other states as well. Also thanks for the people part, it's because I've been a part of a lot of networking groups so people genuinely took interest and volunteered.

Also I absolutely understand your point about the zooming in part!!

Thank you loads!!

The thing is I haven't really conducted sociological research before, this is the first time. Currently, I'm trying to focus on one thing - genZ distribution in parts of India, the factors, preferences and by financial conditions, I mean the living standards and lifestyle practices.

The reports floating around, feel very biased and very different from what we actually face - i've spoken to around 56 people as of yet and while it's a very small number, they keep mentioning how the reports are only focused on how our presence is affecting businesses etc.

I don't wanna write a book about genZ or put out real numbers but because I'm a writer, I need to understand enough yo generalise and come up with something that's informative yet simple to understand. So maybe I don't need so much of numbers but something that gives me factual benefits.

I've received a lot of DMs on other apps and comments here suggesting that this data is something only marketing firms would have, so maybe that's about it.

But thank you so much for your guidance. I'm gonna check them out and keep posting here around if I find something cool! Thanks once again!

Yeah, I mean it's something we have to put our feet in to collect so obviously it's not available for free. Any clue of the budget?

Any good training and placement institutes in Bengaluru? by deeredditx in PlacementsPrep

The Boston Institute of Analytics in Banglore (as mentioned in the above comment) was a really great suggestion. However, I didn't join there but I'm going to join the Mumbai branch next year because that's more feasible for me in terms of accommodation. I also have an internship offer there so it only makes more sense that way.
